Until we're threatening for playoff seedings....we need to not give a shite about the strength of our OOC schedule. We'll play our one P5 a year and take the rest to the bank.

MSU has benefited greatly from really weak schedules. That is what we need while Luke is coach. I agree that better games are needed but our stadium is going to be empty for the duration of Luke ball anyway so it hardly matters at this point. I need to also add that Bjork sucks as an AD so don't expect much to change.

I hate that we keep scheduling Memphis. I understand that traditionally we would play them and that we have such a strong fanbase in Memphis, but I think after that 2015 loss, we have to stop scheduling them. We gain absolutely nothing from playing Memphis, and it is hard for our players tog et excited to play Memphis. However, Memphis is absolutely stoked to play us, and get hype every time .We gain absolutely nothing from playing and beating Memphis ,but we have a whole lot to lose if we lose to them. Memphis has a shite to gain by beating us, and nothing to lose if those lose. We gotta stop scheduling them.

I would rather Memphis make it to the Big 12 so that we can schedule them every year for our P5 permanent opponent.

We should never schedule Wake or Tulane if we are trying to improve as a program. I am not complaining about an excuse to go to New Orleans though.

I do not like the Memphis game at all. Not ever excited about seeing them on the schedule even if they are supposed to be excellent. Probably less so if they are supposed to be excellent. Feels like a game that's all about Memphis with nothing whatsoever in it for us.

The only reason I like the Memphis game is because I grew up like a mile from the Liberty Bowl. Otherwise, frick funding that bullshite athletic department

But also, I physically cannot hate Penny Hardaway, but I’ll forever hate that basketball program

Playing Memphis and USM puts us in a lose-lose situation.

If we win, it’s not a big deal because “it’s just USM or Memphis” and we were supposed to beat them anyways.

If we lose, it’s “LOLOLOLOROFLROFLROFL AT THE REBS THEY LOST TO USM or MEMPHIS!!!!”

There’s no benefit. None.

Nope. None. I'd much rather just play UT-Martin or somebody like that. And that's saying a lot.

I wish we would schedule a game where it would be fun for the fanbase to travel to. I genuinely think we travel well, especially if it is a cool place like Colorado or Utah to travel to.

For non-con either play a sure win type or a top tier bunch where, quite honestly, they might almost feel like we are their Memphis. But stay away from these inbetweeners like USM or Memphis.

We need a good series vs Utah team. I think if we could get a home vs home with one of them would be epic.

Agreed!

We need to schedule games that get us on the radar nationally. Also, let’s have the fan base go to some fun places.

It isn’t hard.

Hell, State is going to both Arizona and Arizona State in the next few years. Meanwhile, we go to Houston and Atlanta
