No, I've been living under a rock. Had to lay low from NCAA because I was in the 'heppin bidness. But nah, Luke made some boneheaded calls this year no doubt. But he's not the reason we couldn't score in the redzone (Longo) and he's not the reason we couldn't recruit (NCAA cloud and Freezus). Give it a hot sec. You could at least wait till we hire a OC and DC now that all this NCAA trash is out of the way.

Freeze's inability to recruit defense was amazing. Granted, his inability to fire dead-weight staff like Maurice Harris probably contributed to that. It also doesn't help that many of the defensive recruits turned down our cash offers to play in Starkville for "free".

I dont give a shite who's fault it is, our top players are leaving and they are the only reason Matt Luke has a single win in the first 2 years.
Hes not bringing in shite for recruits so we will see how well he can coach now that he doesnt have NFL talent scraping out wins with pure athleticism

I don't think saying Freeze created the dumpster fire is being a Matt Luke supporter. It's the truth.
Where we are at this point obviously has more fault than just Luke or Freeze that can be dished out.

If I'm Luke I'm offering a scholarship to Dean brother, sister, mom a new job, unborn child, family dog. I'm telling him no one beats a Cannon deal, NOBODY.
Luke hires a OC and a DC that gets people excited, finishes with a top 20 class that includes Dean and maybe flipping Turnage and he'd win back the fan base.
There would be something to hang your hat on. There simply hasn't been a "win" in this program in a LONG time.

That would be a really productive finish, especially for the defense. That would add 5 DL, 4 LBs and 9 in the secondary for next season.
They still missed on the best talent in-state but adding Gray & Hampton from Memphis would be huge.

Gray wasn't looking great for us until news got out that Couch was probably going to TN so Gray will likely be looking elsewhere. Gordon is a huge possibility with the departure of Crime Cat Mcgriff, and Viramontes is likely tho I'm not sold on him yet. Also keep on eye on Criddell. dropped Oregon shortly after OM in home visit and is friends with some of our commits.

OL wasn't out issue last year. Terrible play calling and lack of coaching was. Also no fricking talent on defense.
