Hate to hear this. I lost my fraternity little brother when I was at Ole Miss. My prayers and thoughts are with your brother, his family, and y'all.

Damn I remember that. That was rough too. I'm not trying to cause any disturbance by saying this but Ole Miss seems to deal with student deaths more than any other university in the conference. It seems like every year we deal with multiple student deaths.

The blessing and curse of being part of smaller, more close-knit family, probably.

Yeah, that sounded bad. Edited.
It was awful and you're right, these incidents are way too common it seems.

Agreed. The Hill Country is always gonna take for itself, if you wanna get all spiritual and figurative about it.

This kid was one of my pledges when I was a pledge trainer. Tough time for a lot of folks right now. Second funeral of a brother in two years I'll have to attend.
Damn, prayers sent your way. my mind is blown how quickly things can turn for the worst

Thoughts and prayers for those involved for sure.
It's a terrible thing, you have the world by the tail and it can vanish so quickly.

I just heard about this. Thoughts and prayers.
As awful as this trajedy is, it's magnified so so much being on a very happy day in front of a crowd of people. That kind of incident leaves a permanant scar if witnessed whether realized or not. None of those people present will enjoy snow days to the fullest and a life was lost.
Sucks guys.

Broken ribs, punctured lung, and presumably internal bleeding. Apparently it happened at a place called Highland Square, and he hit a tree going down a steep hill.
Saw the video. I sledded down that hill before when it snowed when I was there. Scary stuff.

Yeah, I won't ever forget that about a month into one of my classes freshman year, one of my classmates killed himself. Was a quiet guy and one of those smaller classes.

Yeah it happens every now and then, but Ole Miss has one of the lowest suicide rates in the entire country

Damn that sucks. Sorry for y'alls loss. Thoughts and prayers.

Link?
I'd like to see how the regions, not individual schools, compare.
Outside of Los Angeles, sunnier climes generally have a lower suicide rate.

Don't have the link on me, just remember when I was in school that we were ranked near the top in happiest student bodies in the country, and suicide rate was one of the factors.
