Thanks. I swear I'm the biggest pothead on Earth sometimes. But I at least know the enemy...and the enemy is I.

I live in Colorado man... that excuse isn’t as valid as it used to be lol

Also how the hell does Derrick mix stay around coach after coach. Does he threaten to have the program shut down with insider info? Not saying he’s a bad coach but damn.

I’m assuming he’s interwoven deep with Mississippi high schools by now... sucks it won’t matter with Jackson though

Now that we have mostly righted the ship after the NCAA shite, we have somehow got to quit losing the state's best players. Who, all things being equal, are/were Ole Miss guys (i.e. McKinley Jackson, Nakobe Dean, Cam Akers). The talent we've missed out on who didn't give two hoots about going to State and would have gone to Oxford had we had our shite together is downright staggering. And somewhat depressing.

Is anyone else a little worried about how there is not a true WR coach on the staff? Nix has never coached receivers in his life.

I am yes. Is there a lower level coach that will do this and we have nix for recruiting?

It cant be Longo bad though.

Nakobe Dean
Was he ever an "Ole Miss guy" I heard his HS HC on the radio and he said he wouldnt advise his players to go to OM unless it was the only D1 scholly they had.

TBH, his high school coach probably wasn't sold on Matt Luke. I feel like that was the case with the majority of the states high school coaches. They all knew he was a placeholder and was in way over his head. His "Mississippi Made" bullshite was just that. bullshite

I’m pretty sure that the coach at Horn Lake is an alum as well.

Well, seems like I always heard Dean would have been an OM signee had circumstances been different. I wouldn’t swear to it though.

We hired Phil Loadholt as an analyst as well. I wonder if this is the former NFL and OU offensive lineman? That’s another “big” hire.

Lane Kiffin is reportedly hiring away South Carolina’s director of player personnel.
Matt Lindsey will be Kiffin’s general manager at Ole Miss, according to a report by AL.com’s Matt Zenitz.
Lindsey joined the South Carolina staff roughly two years ago (Feb. 13, 2017). According to his South Carolina online bio, Lindsey led the Gamecocks recruiting effort:
Lindsey directs the recruiting efforts of South Carolina Football. He oversees all recruiting services and recruiting videos and identifies potential student-athletes for the coaching staff. In addition, he assists with camps, clinics, on-campus visits and other football related events.
Prior to South Carolina, Lindsey graduated from Alabama in 2013 and assisted in the Crimson Tide’s recruiting department as an undergrad. After graduating, he joined the Philadelphia Eagles as a scouting assistant. He was promoted to College Scouting Coordinator for the Eagles in 2014.
In 2017, Lindsey was recognized by 247Sports in its “30Under30” list of rising stars in college football. FootballScoop named Lindsey the 2018 Player Personnel Director of the Year.

I really like how many analysts Kiffin has brought on. This is a good thing. Not only does it take some of the admin BS work off the on-field coaches, it also helps Ole Miss make a name for themselves in coaching circles.

I'm going to follow-up on my last post. This staff is amazing and so much better... light years ahead of what Luke and every other HC at Ole Miss has been able to assemble.
