Honestly, if he accepted the job and all this got leaked out, I could see him backing out for spite. Seemed pretty pissed in that tweet.

Unless he secretly signed an extension and it’s not going to be announced until Wednesday or Thursday so it motivates the team and fanbase, this is making me wish he would just leave

I think a lane just doesn’t give a frick about anyone’s feelings and emotions.
He has a point. He could 100% sit there and say till he is blue in the face “I am 100% not going anywhere and am staying in Oxford” then walk off the stage and sign with Auburn. So what difference does it make what he says.

If Lane is leaving I can’t imagine why he would call out that reporter. He pretty much ended the guy. Would be beyond horrible to do that to someone if the report is true.

He's leaving. I don't think anyone in our AD would feel good about retaining him after this stunt. He's just having "fun" on his way out.
