Cutcliffe ~ Orgeron

We hired O because Cut left the roster depleted outside of P-Willis and we needed someone to come in and rebuild. That's why we paid him $900k a year....which was WELL below the typical salary back then.

They had no real intention of supporting him to be a winner. Kinda fricked up but it did give us enough talent to overcome Nutt's dogshit coaching and give us two cotton bowls.

am consistently astonished by programs who fire their coach and then have a seemingly chaotic and embarrassing search (think Cutcliffe ~ Orgeron). We can't afford that right now.
What do you suppose we do? The game has clearly passed him by. It’s the worst 2 years we have ever had (by a wide margin) since Bianco took over.

I'm going to think Luke~Kiffin instead. Just hire Godwin.

I think he needs to go. But I would be against just pushing him out without knowing that we had a Top 3 candidate 100% committed. I don't want to end up with another Orgeron because the guy we're hoping to get passed.

I would rather see another Bianco year and be patient over some transition place holder candidate. I mean State is a good program. But they ended up with Lemonis because they were in a pinch. Now they're looking to get rid of him too.

Both Mississippi schools could be looking at the same candidates in a month. I think we're a better destination for obvious reasons. But I don't want anything left to chance

Godwin is the obvious choice.

If he's agreeable and willing to commit to us in the next 30 days, then it's a no brainer.

Quick question: Did Mason Nichols pitch on the GA trip? I didn't hear him mentioned. Didn't they move him to the starting rotation and he won his first two starts? (Or we won those games at least). And then he just vanished. Is he hurt??

Just checked the game stats and don't see his name anywhere. I haven't heard anything. I wonder if it's a righty/lefty matchup type thing. We all know Bianco loves that shite.

He was unavailable this weekend due to injury

Classic. We find a starter and he gets hurt immediately.

ETA: Will Hunter Elliott pitch next year? Or will he enter the draft this year?

I don't see how he could be drafted considering that he hasn't pitched in 2 years.

Next year is potentially setting up with Hunter and Mason as two veteran aces. And a handful of legitimate guys competing for the third spot.

I don't see how we're gonna be substantially better at the plate. But we could take a big leap on the mound at least with our starters

I assumed he had surgery in February 2024 and would not pitch in 2025? Hope I'm wrong there.

I didn't see that. I only know he was out for 2024.

Getting shelled by Alabama at home. Bianco do the right thing and retire.

Bianco would rather get fired at this point. I don't think he will ever retire if he has it his way... I can't wait to be good at this sport again

I’m so sick of the “last 4 out” graphic espn shows constantly when talking about this team

They do not deserve postseason. Its the truth. Even IF they got to 13 wins. This team is trash. Plain and simple
