BYU really struggled staying in front of our guards in this game. They didn’t have any answers when Murray, Murrell, and Davis attacked the rim. I thought outside the first 10 minutes we were the better team. BYU is a good team though and should make the NCAA tournament. It will be a quad 1 win and tomorrow another big opportunity against Purdue.

Let's talk about that for a moment, please.
Assuming we get some guys back from injury, there's a chance we can be better on the mound this year. Starters and relievers. Which is important.
But at the plate, we were (i believe) the worst team in the conference last year. And we lost about 70% of our nonexistent production there.
Unless I'm missing something, we could be historicallly bad this year. Like we could maybe not win a single SEC series. We could bat like .220 as a club.
Does anyone have anything to give me hope? Some transfers I dont know about? Some young guys coming up who could make us competitive?
I'll clutch at literally any straws at this point.
