Kiffin will get crap from the national media for the 4th down calls, but if he gets that TD on the first drive it’s a completely different game. He made the right call

We rolled the dice and lost. It’s ok. I will sleep just fine.

Yeah I have no issues with him going for it on 4th down. He knew our defense wasn’t stopping their offense no matter where they started the drive

TE whiffed on his block, badly, with poor technique and effort..otherwise, he played a pretty good game

The plan to beat us is going to be running the ball on offense and play w/ 8 men back on defense. We seriously need some new ideas on defense. Our offense will be fine if Corral stays patient and takes what the D is giving.

That was probably the plan all along. Alabama just had the personnel to execute and then some.

I DID NOT EXPECT to beat Alabama but I CANNOT say that about this weekend. Not saying it should be easy, but we just have to step it up and get it done. Plain and simple.

If we take care of the ball we should win. I feel like Arkansas is bad enough on offense that we can get a few stops.

I predict we win 38-24.

Arkansas is a solid, well-balanced team that relies on out-physicaling you for 60 minutes to win. They're not overly talented at WR outside of Burks, and their running game is more power than speed. Defense is more of the same - lot of very strong, hard-hitting athletes who want to pound you into submission, but are certainly stronger than they are fast. This may seem like a mismatch for us, but I think it's just the opposite. They can't match our speed at RB or on the outside, and Corral is 5x the passer that KJ Jefferson is. Remember this, too - Arkansas got pushed around by Georgia in the trenches all game. The Hogs' OL and DL are not anywhere near as good as Alabama's are. We struggled blocking last week, but I just don't see the same thing happening against Arkansas.

We need to come out firing and turn this game into a shootout. Don't need to turn it into a physical, grind-it-out game, since that plays directly into Arkansas' style of play. I want to see us challenge their corners with deep shots and make their LBs move with stretch runs/read options. That opens up the play-action game, the most dangerous part of our offense.

The one thing we absolutely can't do is let KJ beat us with deep throws. Their passing game is relatively non-existent outside of the home-run ball, so if you take that away, Arkansas' offense becomes extremely one-dimensional. Would really like to see us play a lot of Cover 2 zone out of the 3-3-5 this week - gives us plenty of downfield coverage while keeping the running game in check.

LFG. Big game this weekend. The Vaught needs to be packed.

Is this a word?

Burks is the best in the conference though

No it isn't but it sounds good

Color me skeptical on this - Ole Miss has had multiple receivers better than him in the past 8 years, and this year, I'm not sure that he's better than Kayshon Boutte. Burks is good, but he's not unbelievably good, and he's easier to defend when he's their only top-tier pass catcher.

Defense needs to make stops. We historically struggle with Arky in shootouts

I have no idea but it was a loss for sure. Something about reduced playing time was mentioned at the time but that’s always the “go to” explanation.

Didn't we transfer in someone at his position?
