If you watch him he is a is generally a 1 read QB in a 1 read system. Kiffin knows Briles offense and will be helpful for game prep.

Yes. The SEC may be a bit down, but it’s still a fricking gauntlet.

I don't think the SEC is down. There are six or more teams with a chance to finish in the top 15 - 20.

Bama
Georgia
Rebs
Pigs
Gata
Kentucky
Ags
LSU
Auburn

I agree. I don't think it's "down" either. We just have a new cast of characters that are "up" possibly. It's just not possible for everybody to be up at the same time.

I think LSU has a better chance of finishing in the top 15 than A&M does. A&M's QB situation is not good and LSU is finding something offensively. If they just give Johnson some time, they will score. Their rushing defense is not good though. State's backs were making it to the second level before being touched. Leach just doesn't run the ball.

Texas A&M, State, and LSU all have pretty bad OLines. We will be favorites in every game after Bama or Arkansas. I think Arkansas and Ole Miss are the only west teams that got better this year. We just need to split the next two games. If that happens 10-2 and even 11-1 is possible.

I disagree. We could easily be an underdog against LSU, Auburn, and/or A&, particularly Auburn on the road.

LSU and State are better. LSU is 3-1 and will be ranked if they beat Auburn on Saturday night in Death Valley. I don't have to remind you how long it's been since Auburn has won in Baton Rouge. LSU is favored in this game and Auburn is not looking sharp at the moment. Everyone wrote off LSU after the UCLA loss, but I still think they have a shot to win 8 or 9 games.

State has been in every game they've played and they would be 3-1 if not for completely inept officiating. Compare that to last season where State was trashed in three consecutive weeks (24-2 loss to UK, 28-14 loss to A&M where A&M was up 28-0 in the second half and called off the dogs, and 41-0 loss to Bama)

There is a lot football left to play and we are relatively untested. We have three conference road games remaining and will probably play at least 4 but possibly as many as 5 ranked teams in our final nine games. I wouldn't go predicting 10 wins yet. After all, WAOM.

I completely agree with you about LSU's offensive line. They are not good. Some of State's offensive line issues are due to Rogers holding the ball too long because his receivers aren't open.

State could easily be 1-3 right now and outside of the NC State game haven’t looked decent in any of their games. I actually think State can beat Texas A&M this Saturday funny enough. Texas A&M offense can’t do anything right now and the defense is good but Arkansas had its way in the first half with it. They had to score late to beat Colorado 10-7 who is god awful. LSU is good at WR and CB but the rest of the team is very meh. They can’t run the ball and Max Johnson has a very limited arm. Auburn has QB concerns and I think that defense has shown some major red flags the last two weeks.

State aTm is going to be an all-timer for shitty boring offense lovers.

I actually think A&M looks decent this weekend on offense. Wins something like 34-14. State will be deflated after 2 consecutive close losses.

If you notice he can’t really stretch the field. All his big plays are between the hashes.

I prefer playing @ Bama. Don’t know way but Bryant Denny is more ramped up. More pressure on Bama. They are trying not to lose we’re trying to win.

Compared to the rest of the country the SEC is in the catbird seat by a wide margin.

People will say the SEC is down when LSU, Aub, Tenn, and other traditional programs are struggling.

I saw a score model prediction of 37-24 Bama wins. I gotta say that sounds about right. Alabama is just a solid football team that is clearly very well coached. I think we can win but offense needs to produce and not turn the ball over. Keep the ball away from Bama and try to wear their defense down. Win the time of possession battle.

I get your point here, but Tennessee has struggled for over a decade at this point.
