Chip Kelly OC. Pay the man 3 mil for a season. Maybe Freeze and the offense can learn something

Better suited for the OC position why? He interviewed and didn't get the job. Freeze has his guy. The guy that he wants. I guess the OM fan base will treat him the same way they do Luke. No matter what he does he sucks. All because he couldn't beat a better team with his backup qb.

Maybe I just don't know the history of Lubick but wasn't he the guy last year at Oregon when they were terrible? Which is fine; one year doesn't make him horrible or great, but we've got so many acting like he is the savior of sorts. What am I missing?

Oregon was pretty good on offense. 16th in total offense. (Ole Miss was 26th) You'd think he was the OC with some of our fans reaction. He left for a better position and twice the money. I loved the hire as our WR coach but I don't blame him for taking a better role.

He's a great WR coach and recruiter. New this hire was too good to be true. WAOM can't catch a fricking break.

Do we have budget issues in the athletic department? Or do we pay our coaches like shite just to shoot ourselves in the foot, like seemingly everything else this administration and coaching staff does?

Seriously? The guy has never been an OC and was hired by an ex-offensive coordinator to be the OC at Baylor. you could argue we should have hired Lubick as OC despite the fact that he has never been one but somehow i think you would bitch about that too. And don't give me any crap about he was OC at orgeon. He was not.

On paper Lubbick is the only good hire freeze has made. We hired an FCS guy to be our OC, not saying we should of hired Lubbock to be OC, just should of slapped the co-OC tag on him and paid the man what he is worth rather than let him embarrass us by leaving 10 days after he was hired, to go coach at the only program in the country that is a bigger goat show than we are right now.

I don't mind making him co-oc. Make them all co-oc's. Who cares about meaningless titles but we should have doubled his salary? And the NCAA has shown it doesn't really care about a gruesome rape culture. They just don't want free t-shirts being given to recruits.

Why would we double a WR coach salary? Luke us already making 600k, OC a little more and now we should give the WR coach the same? For what?
We can just hire another great recruiter as a WR coach.

I'm still shocked Freeze hasn't thrown a lot of money at Larry Porter. He has excellent ties to Memphis and all of Louisiana really. He wasn't nearly as good of a rb coach as Frank Wilson, but he's better than what LSU has now (Juluke), and a much better recruiter. He would fix Ole Miss' running problems.

Our run problems = Matt Luke so not sure about that.

Looking at someone like Larry Porter would make too much sense for Freeze to consider doing it.
