Keith's done a fantastic job. When a coach with the quality resume that Napier has is your fallback, then you've done a good job.

I agree, but it won't excite the average fan. Instead of immediate buy in, most fans will take a wait and see approach.

I hate this part of the search. The calm before the storm. I do believe we are waiting for Norvell to answer, but then you have to think if we wait, will Lane go ahead and choose Arky. But also at the same time, we may have already gotten Lanes answer and he’s coming. God at the “what if’s”

Yea that’s where I was getting most of that from. Just being an OM fan we all know that anything can happen at anytime that sends the train off the tracks.

ETA, it also sounded like earlier that he might have slipped up and said to much about the Lane situation. Like he knows more than he can or should say.

Still? I know he was all in on that this morning, curious if he's reiterating that this afternoon

Someone else saying that Norvell is going to FSU and OM is staying on him to help get a bigger deal from them. And Lane is coming here and being announced Sunday morning. I mean FSU is now asking for more money from its boosters. So I could see that. Sexton represents both and supposedly will help with a favorable deal with Lane if we stay on the Norvell push. But take all of it however. Don’t really know if anyone actually knows much. Got to hand it to KC though.

That seems like it would violate more than one law.

I heard from someone that currently is on Memphis roster that said Norvell is going to Ole Miss. I fully believe Norvell is going to Florida State. It feels very much like Arkansas and Ole Miss both still believe they’re getting Kiffin. I think Arkansas knew they had Kiffin before we fired Luke and I think they didn’t think we would go after him. I think Norvell was plan A and Kiffin was plan B. The fact that Arkansas hasn’t moved on from Kiffin is the only reason I’m not sure it’s a done deal. Kiffin hasn’t told Arkansas no and maybe Norvell hasn’t told Ole Miss no yet.

We will have much bigger problems than NCAA violations if that's the case

Norvelle going to FSU is going to disappoint a lot of fans. They are not excited about a Memphis coach.
