At least we aren’t Arkansas

I had actually started to feel a tiny bit sorry for them. Then this coaching search started and their arrogance for a team that’s lost a million SEC games in a row was flabbergasting. And the subsequent sugar coating has been pathetic.

They deserve several more years in hell. I despise them and making them our bitch this week has healed so many wounds.

It's their coping mechanism. They're at Stage 2-Anger.

State getting beat by UT and UT posters re-emerging from their dark hole is almost as bad.

Go watch Arkansas’ Pittman introduction. That is pathetic.

How they are so positive on him after that press conference is beyond me

Man, I wrote a really long rant here, probably because I had to hang out with some higher-ups who are still upset with Kiffin being hired and Luke being fired.

The TL;DR is a big part of Ole Miss competing is a change of culture from the bottom up. Even at the height of the Freeze years, most of y'all expected it all to come crashing back to Earth. I've watched that my whole life with Ole Miss fans and alumni. "Enjoy it right now, because the wheels are going to fall off at any moment."

It's a self-fulfilling prophecy, and it has made those inevitable crashes acceptable in a weird way as just what happens at Ole Miss. Ole Miss does not have to have them, nor do they have to cheat to get to the Sugar Bowl. For the first time in my life, I'm actually really interested in where Ole Miss may end up because I feel like there is an AD here who really believes, "And why not us?"

And why not? The resources and players are around for Ole Miss to compete. Fans should expect that and expect it consistently.

That in fact is my point, how are we gonna frick this up?

I get that this statement has no affect on the outcome of games, but this type of attitude is contagious and if people can’t let go of the past and be optimistic for the future then this negativity will continue to permeate throughout the fanbase and become a self-fulfilling prophecy.

This coming year I could see 4-8 as the floor. We have a difficult stretch to start. Defense as of now doesn’t have the recruits it needs coming in.

I expect that to
Be kiffins worst year.

But who doesn’t love a road trip to Houston? I may go just to witness our first game with the Lane Train.

I’m honestly not expecting a lot of wins next year. As long as I can see improvement then ok. Next year is brutal. Which will make an upset of one of those games even better.

If we just develop a decent QB and defense, we could be in some of those big games. This year, we caught a lot of teams sleeping and should have beat at least one of them.

We’ll win 7 games (fingers crossed). SEMO, Ga. Southern, Vandy, Arkie, State, A&M, then we’ll surprise someone-probably Auburn.

I really didn’t look at it like that. Mainly looked at the brutal start. But I can see where your coming from. Also like the other guy said I’m glad we didn’t win those games now or we would still have Luke probably.
