Let's all admit that he was gone to Auburn in 2022 and even after Landry begged him, he still struggled to stay. I honestly think he was determined before this season started to leave for whatever "big job" came along and maybe even worked out a deal with LSU in the summer. I doubt he thought we would make it to the playoff. It's just really telling once you look back on it all. He started out dogging Brian Kelly constantly. Then the very week of the LSU game, his daughter comes out very publicly that she is dating Weeks. He starts dogging on our fanbase out of nowhere all year long, actually going so far as telling outright lies. His PR film is released by ESPN.
It just looks like it was very planned out from the beginning and the only thing that complicated matters is that we were actually good this year.
