But can't boosters get someone with any type of name? I mean still SEC and build the program back. Get some HS coach from Texas or something .

Yes it will undoubtedly be Matt Luke, the coach that should have been fired every year for his terrible coaching.

I seriously doubt Les is going to forfeit the 8 million LSU owes him to coach a program that's going to receive serious sanctions. Plus it would ruin his legacy as a football coach. I don't think les is elite, but he's smart enough to not forfeit 8 million dollars and lose his legacy all at once.

I hope the chip Kelly suggestion is a joke. That dude would never move to the South. I don't think he'd take any sec job.

In the name of comedy I kind of wanted peveto to get the interim gig and have a shot at O.

Anyway, I kind of hate this for ole miss. The magnolia bowl is badass when something is on the line

As an Ole Miss fan I'm happy Freeze left, as an LSU fan you should be way happier.

I don't understand why anyone in there right mind would want Les Miles as coach. He failed at LSU with all that talent. He had Mettenberger, Beckham, and Landry on the same field and still sucked.

Don't forget that a-hole Jeremy Hill. He lost to a guy too stupid to redact a whore hotline. Do not want (but probably could not get)

Would be a good hire. But we need to bring someone in who can stop the bleeding so to speak this season, like Baylor did.

Time for the Mack Brown / Frank Beamer / Jim Grove / Spurrier pain train for a season and one last 2 mil payday for one of them.

Bring in an outside to stop the bleeding, and get a whole new staff for 2018 season with an up and coming coach

It sounds like Charlie Strong would be the favorite if they hired somebody today. I think Strong makes a lot of sense right now with how horrible are athletic department is viewed right now. Strong runs a clean program and would be the first black head coach in school history.

I figured Charlie wouldn't be interested right now, he would be a home run. Would absolutely love that hire.
