1-0
We sandbagged the playbook against Louisville. I expect the same conservative stuff this weekend. The offense will hopefully open up on week 3.

I think we sandbagged the playbook in the first half then when they went up JDB said “frick it” and opened it up thankfully

Were like a 46 point favorite. If any of our starters are still out there mid-way through the 3rd quarter we have bigger problems

SMU about to kick off without coach to player helmet comms because of a power outage. Keith Carter, you know what needs to be done

We better not spend 1 minute scouting Charlotte. We could literally throw our empty uniforms on the field and beat Charlotte. We better be prepping for LSU for two weeks.

We had to battle NW St all game to squeak out a seven point win

They announced 25,000 people in attendance and I would be shocked if it was that much. My and my buddies always said that was the game that got Orgeron fired. Not the Egg Bowl

This is why the moment that Pete (or any coach) sucks, we need to pull the trigger and get a good replacement. I never want to go back to that shite again. I'm rooting for Pete and think he will do well, but that Louisville preparation left a lot to be desired. I don't give a shite if they were ranked.

Think most of the real fans are backing pete as HC.. I am tired of people saying he is a Matt Luke 2.0 Hire.. Matt Luke did not have 3 ranked W's in less then 10 games.

I think he will do well but that game has me a little less sold on him. He's definitely not Matt Luke 2.0. Go and look at the Clemson OL from Saturday. That is Matt Luke and I never want him on our sideline again, in any capacity.

He's definitely not Matt Luke. His recruiting this far has also been above our historical average.
Remains to be seen just how much success he'll have as a HC though. He has plenty of resources to be successful so the results are 100% on his shoulders.
At least the defensive lapses against Louisville weren't a talent issue. None of them were just our DB getting flat out beat by a more talented WR.
We have the talent, just needs to get better organized. No idea though if it was late audibles that our safeties just missed or what.

The thing that bothered me the most about Sunday's game was our players did not look fired up at all and they did not look like they were having a good time. We need some swagger on the sideline.

Players were bummed that the basketball goal was gone

I'm so glad that crap is history. Only a matter of time before someone rolls an ankle with that mess.

Yeah that seemed like a concern to me too. Kewan in particular looked totally disinterested

I think he was more frustrated than anything. JDB's dumb arse ran him into a wall 90% of the time without trying any outside runs in that first half. I was actually hoping he wouldn't end up injured and then he got injured. Someone needs to tell JDB to stop that stupid Cutcliffe shite. That's not the type of team we are and that's not the type of RB that Kewan is. Kewan is a John Avery type outside runner. Give him some space and he will shine. Feed him to a line and he will only manage scant yards.

I don’t want Luke back in any capacity, but that’s on Dabo refusing to utilize the portal or NIL in any meaningful way. The rest of the team was trash as well, not just the OL.

I noticed this as well. They need to loosen up.

Well, what if we were to give them a really hyped putting green?
