Matt Luke 2.0

Similarities- loves ole miss, family ties, potential to keep train on tracks

Differences - one is a strong coordinator, adds actual prep & game value.

I think definitely a better situation than Luke with sanctions

I sure hope he hires a good OC doesn’t turn the offense over to Judge. He also needs to hire a DC and not try to do that job himself, along with all the other things head coaches have to do now to manage their programs.

According to 247, Weiss is heading back to Oxford for the playoffs and will likely stay and be Golding's OC.

He should hire Kendall Briles as OC, promote Moncief to WR coach, hire Nix back for RB, and then get Durkin for DC.

Why did Weiss leave with Lane today then?

Thoughts on the offense are

It’s really not that complicated. Kiffin is an offensive genius but it’s not the craziest offense.

Do the play until it stop working then run a variations to play to the defense cheating a bit.

We add wrinkles but this far in the season how much is really changing?

Joe Judge was an nfl head coach. I think he can work out a wrinkle or two.

But ya probably not Joe judge in the long run? Unsure of other options. It would be nice to have a similar system. Has done us well. Helps overcome the disadvantage we typically have in the offense lines

Don’t count out the Rebs this season though

LSU probably went ahead and fired him

I don’t know if judge can do the job or not. But he has no track record as a successful play caller. I would rather have a more proven commodity.

Golding makes sense. He keeps us from making a panic hire. He’s not rebuilding. He’ll get one year and if he’s successful, great. If not, we’ll have the time to make a better hiring decision.

It’s a compromise hire that makes sense with the dumpster fire situation that we were in.
