Is that good or bad? Our offense has been our Achilles heel this season (despite our record).

I think he's been a fine TE coach for us. Recruits seem to like him too

So I’m getting old and it shows, I’m still recovering from my hangover 36hrs later and scrubbing away the smell from Davis Wade. I’d just like to congratulate our fan base here for coming together Thursday night in one of most hate fueled posting sprees to ever hit the rant. Well done!

Ok, so my brain still isn’t full speed but are we Wildcat fans today? Will them knocking off Louisville matter or are we stuck in Orlando regardless?

I guess that’s true. I was thinking more about his role as co-OC.

We got the entire SEC west going after us on here lmfao. LSU, Auburn, State, and to a lesser extent Arkansas and A&M are extremely butt hurt at our success.

ACC has a tie in to the Orange Bowl regardless so it's not going to open up a spot unless FSU doesn't make the playoffs.

Is that how it works? I thought NY6 was solely based upon playoff rankings? I truly don't know though.

Some of them have tie in's yeah

The tie ins for this year are:

Rose Bowl: Playoff game
Sugar Bowl: Playoff game
Orange Bowl: #1 ACC vs SEC/B1G
Cotton Bowl: at Large vs at Large
Peach Bowl: at Large vs at Large
Fiesta Bowl: at Large vs at Large

Plus 1 G5 team (likely Tulane) will get an autobid

I mean if you want to go more in depth on what we would need to happen for a NY6 bowl the rankings are:

#1 Georgia 11-0
#2 Ohio State 11-1
#3 Michigan 12-0
#4 Florida State 11-0
#5 Washington 11-0
#6 Oregon 12-0
#7 Texas 11-1
#8 Alabama 10-1
#9 Missouri 10-2
#10 Louisville 10-2
#11 Penn State 10-2
#12 Ole Miss 10-2
#13 Oklahoma 10-2
#23 Tulane 11-1

Scenarios below:

Assuming FSU is in the playoff we'd have to be top 10 (Louisville would get auto bid to Orange Bowl), which is not happening barring maybe Alabama losing the next two game (so not likely happening).

If FSU isn't in the playoffs but they still win the ACC Championship then FSU gets auto bid to Orange Bowl then we'd have to be in the top 11, but we would also need Oklahoma to not win the Big 12 or jump us this week to get in. If Louisville wins the ACC then they get the auto bid to the orange bowl again.

So yeah if you want a NY6 pull for Florida tonight & hope we don't get jumped by Oklahoma or pull for Texas next week in the Big 12 championship game (assuming Oklahoma State loses). So yeah at this point pretty I'd say Orlando is has like a 80-90% chance of being where we wind up.

tldr; Pull for Florida tonight & Oklahoma State right now (or Texas next week) if you want a NY6 bowl game

Hope I got all that right as this shite is way more complicated than how does a team get in the playoffs in the NFL

I'll take Orlando. We've never been to the Citrus Bowl and we can take Iowa who has zero wins vs. top 25.

Forgot about the Orange Bowl tie in. Thank god for the 12 team playoff next year.

When we think of the Florida Citrus Bowl as a bit of consolation prize, we have come a long long way. I’ll take it. Let’s get our asses in the playoff next year and host somebody like Oregon on campus in late November. Can you imagine?

and here we are....looking again at a previous game we should have won....that would have led to us probably winning the west.

Auburn beating Bama would be massive for our NY6 hopes

They get beaten by UGA and drops them to 10-3 with 2 straight losses. Could help a lot
