We currently have 14 commitments with 4 four stars are ranked 32nd and lead for the following players:

Jaron Willis **** LB 78.9%
Davison Igbinosun **** CB 80%
Tyler Banks *** ATH 100%

Hopefully we get some transfers too.

Ward has awesome physical tools and lots of room to grow as a passer (played in a running offense in HS). Probably not a guy you want stepping right in as the starter, but if Kiffin gets a one-year guy to come in for next year, Ward could be a good piece for the future.

Even if he comes just for depth purposes, we’d be stupid to not take a guy with starting experience at the college level.

I got a question.. why would someone like Tyrell Pigrome (QB) transfer to Ole Miss in their final year of eligibility, only to not see the field?

Possible he wants to get into coaching.

Well somebody is going to have to fix that wind-up. Otherwise SEC DBs will have a shite ton of interceptions off him.

I agree, his mechanics don't inspire confidence and more than likely, he won't start anyway. Buttttt, he would instantly become the most experienced QB (college level) on our roster, so I'll still take him

I'll say this - you speed up his release and let him run a little bit, he could be really effective. Would definitely be a project, but the first half of our schedule is pretty manageable, and we could let whoever starts at QB gain some confidence early on.

Due to a compliance issue at Michigan, 4* DE Derrick Moore may be signing with Ole Miss tomorrow. He'd prefer Michigan but his HS coach took an off the field role there and by rule, if a HS coach takes an off the field position at a school, that school can't sign any prospects from that HS for 2 years.

They're appealing this by saying technically the HS did not play football last year so he wasn't technically coached in a game but they don't seem optimistic that it'll work. Big position of need for us and eases the loss of Trevion Williams to MSU.

If waiting for the appeal why would he sign tomorrow and not just wait until January?

I mean if love to get him, jut not sure why he'd sign tomorrow given everything.

Could be graduating early. Not sure to be honest. I do think he really likes Ole Miss and had a great OV.

Good point. Would make getting him even better if he could go through Spring Ball with us.

With everything else that's good with the program today will be rather depressing.

Maybe it's the strategy to re-evaluate for spring signing day and rely on transfers?
