Im not exactly buying the “Kiffin’s family is in BR currently” but it is interesting that a jet left BR for Ox this morning, picked someone up then immediately took off back to BR.

Flight tracking in 2025 is like riding a horse on the interstate.

How do y’all think Landry gets to BR?

Our fans need to lay off Lane. It's frustrating he hasn't signed the extension, of course, but we'll only make things worse attacking him on Twitter, an outlet he is known to respond on.

I'm sorry but what did he expect? I also wish they would lay off but at the same time, I knew it would get to this point eventually. He caused this, not the fans.

Man, it’s not just the fans. It’s the money people. Everyone was under the impression it was put to bed Friday. This ends sooner than later and at this point, I don’t care how. It’s been laid out and he’s been given everything he’s asked for and a little on top. He needs to fire Jimmy publicly. This is disgusting.

The “it’s my agent” shite is not ok.

While I partly agree with you, they do need to tone it down a few notches.. also.. Lane doesn’t get to troll the fanbase and flame it and constantly take unfair jabs at the fans insinuating we aren’t all in or committed and yet be untouchable for the same fans to question him and his loyalty and commitment . He shouldn’t get to have it both ways . If he wants to be here great, if not, he can frick off

"The best in the business" is helping him ruin the reputation that he tried for so long to repair. I do wish he was a client of Clint Dowdle instead.

If/when he pulls all this at Florida, LSU, Texas it'll be a million times worse

So, I guess you are backing away from your confidence, as I did earlier today as well. My thoughts are based pretty much on how he behaved immediately after the game. He should have been celebrating but hell it looked like he lost.

This is the conclusion I am trying to lead y'all to.

The same thing happened in 2022. We harassed him over commitment and he eventually did. We gave him everything he wanted then in a new contract and he responded with great success.

It's now three years later and we're back at the same point we were then.

But the same question is apparent, and it's at the heart of this issue now just as it was then - does he really want to be here? But it's clear he does not, because his actions speak much louder than the deafening silence of his deflections. We've done everything we can do and demand undivided loyalty in return, something that is expected of both parties to this arrangement. But because Lane won't give us his undivided loyalty, I think it's over for him in Oxford.

I could be wrong. I have no sources. This is just my opinion.

I thought he looked uncomfortable too.

It's because he likes being here, but it's not where he wants to be, which is why he gon'.

Trying to think about it logically I’ve come to the conclusion that he wants the Florida job but actually does care about the team he is coaching.

He wants to coach them but knows he’s not going to be allowed to if/when he takes the job publicly. So he’s stringing both sides along. He also doesn’t want a repeat of what happened at Tennessee because let’s be honest, him leaving when his team is going to be in the playoffs is a WAY worse look than him leaving a 7-6 team for USC in the middle of the night.

On top of that, I think he has players here he would want to take with him but I don’t think if he left before the playoffs many of them would want to follow him because they would feel betrayed. It is a VERY sticky situation he is trying to play out of and there is no way he is going to look good publicly on the other side unless it’s staying at Ole Miss.

If we hadn’t made the playoffs, then this would have been done and over two weeks ago. But us being in the playoff has thrown a massive wrench in everything.

The thought has crossed my mind about this in relation to the Egg Bowl and it concerns me.

No, actually I still think we end up with him. My feelings about that have changed though in that I don’t really care.

I'm back at 50/50 and I think I will stay there because you never know what this guy is going to do. He is erratic as a house cat on crack.

I really don't think so, but the thought has crossed my mind only because it would solve a lot of his PR issues with leaving.

His ego won’t let him miss out on the playoffs.

I’m trying to toe the line on what I say here because I don’t want to get cut off , but I’d say he has a firm grasp of who he works for and so forth. (No I don’t mean we’d fire him)

The timeline, if he keeps up the cat and mouse game, is problematic.
CFP first round - 12/19 and 12/20
CFP second round - 12/31 and 01/01
15 day portal window - 01/02 through 01/16
Coaches that are available would have been picked up prior to the portal window opening.

We can't be left hanging if he stays for the CFP and bolts if we make it to the 2nd round.

I don’t think Sexton is getting enough of the fanbase’s wrath. What’s his Twitter handle? Lol
