Going to be hard to convince them to stay. Yes, we can pay them extra to coach the playoffs but at some point you want to know where you’re going to be coaching next year. Who knows if a new OC will retain them or not.

Physically he’s here. That’s about all that can be said.
He going to stay through the playoffs? We can figure out the entire offensive staff after the playoffs, but we do need a staff for the next month at least.
Also, any word on hiring an actual DC for next season? Having a HC also acting as a coordinator never works

Idk if Ben officially "reported it" but he mentioned on his show w/ Sudu today that Smith was in Baton Rouge. Am I wrong?

The wives are in Baton Rouge looking at houses. Tells you what you need to know, I guess. What surprises me more than anything is the willingness of the offensive staff to screw their players out of a once in a lifetime opportunity.

Love Keith and will defend him against what other people say about him, but damn there should have been a better plan in place going into this weekend. It was clear to everyone Kiffin was gone, we should have known we had the staff locked up to stay for the playoff.

If Kiffin takes the whole offensive staff along with Trinidad and Lacy then what was the point of hiring Golding on a permanent basis?
Saying we couldn’t hire anyone better is complete horse shite because Kentucky fired their coach with a large buyout and is about to hire Oregon’s OC. Not saying he’s better than Pete but there’s not much distance between them
Point being, if Kentucky can fire their coach and hire someone within 48 hours, so can we instead of panicking and hiring our DC who said less than 6 months ago he didn’t want to be a head coach

I feel exactly the same way. I'm about to logoff the Internet for a few days just to let it all settle down a bit.

Yep. There is only one person responsible for this upending of our program mere weeks before a home playoff game.

Sounds like Lane is trying to string us along with Weiss just to frick us. Garrison and Smith really surprise me with this.
At this point, we need to just bring in some other staff, IMO. I bet Golding hates Lane with a passion now.

Maybe it was the plan and the staff lied. Could be Keith isn't as competent as previously thought either. In any case the absence of information has people rightly concerned and inventing their own version of events which leads to more instability. He needs to get ahead of the narrative before the cascade starts.

And we really need a strong PR push, like right now. Ron fricking DeSantis is saying we should be out. I liked him up until that moment.
I mean, frick everybody at this point.

If we could piece together a couple decent coordinator hires quickly that'd help alot to calm things
So I fully expect to see KC announce Golding as DC and Judge as OC

Having slept on it, I think I’m agreeing with you on this. Making Golding the permanent coach was lazy and short-sighted. I get we want stability going into the playoff, but you can have the stability we have now with an interim tag. We’re shedding recruits, staff members, and soon-to-be players anyway. I’m rooting for Pete and our program, of course, but damn.
