Brian Kelly had no self-awareness, but then, neither does LSU. This is a school where the governor is calling the shots for the football program, just an embarrassing turn of events for the state, school and football program, but they don’t appear to see it that way. Self-delusion is a powerful drug, and at LSU they’re addicted.
No truer words have been spoken.

Anyone else wondering if lane is using the lsu interest to soften the blow for ole miss fans if he goes to Florida? In his mind, he takes us to the playoffs and leaves for a team we'll only play every few years and no rivalry, fans will just be thankful it's not lsu. And sexton gets to frick with Landry for calling him out.

That thought has definitely crossed my mind. Though TBH it would surprise me

I honestly don't know where he ends up. I think leaving is stupid. Plain and simple. If LSU thinks UF is out, they are stupid. All the same shite that LSU is putting out is the same stuff UF put out last week.
Hell, he could very well stay. Nobody knows.

He obviously just wants to win a championship and he has a slim chance of winning it here this season but a larger chance of winning it in the future if he goes to LSU

Dude, this was our rebuilding year and I dont know if you've watched football this year but nobody looks unbeatable. This year there is a real shot if we could get rid of the distractions.
LSU doesn't automatically give anyone a better chance. What they had going for them for years is alignment. That's what we have now and they don't. LSU is going to be a cluster frick for a while no matter who is on the sideline.

Ole Miss is setup better the most program in the NIL era.. We don't have non sense crap going like LSU in the AD dept etc.. We already got thru all that crap years ago. I don't see LK winning a Natty at LSU or Gators within 3 years.

His staff at Ole Miss is set and solid. Hes going to have to hope it all falls together. What a moron.

Yeah, everyone saying that this year shows our ceiling conveniently forgets we had a top 2 roster last year and it was ironically coaching that held us back.
Over the next 5 years, I’d say LSU/UF give him a slightly better chance at a natty. But they also give him a much higher chance of being fired in year 3 before he wins one.
Apparently his ole miss buyout has no offset language and automatically extends if he wins 7 games? That is essentially a lifetime contract given his coaching ability. Absolutely no chance LSU gives him that and even if they do he can’t trust them to honor it.

No way Lane is going put together a staff like has here too. Notice LSU is happy about coach O and Lane together i don't see that as a good combo. That would coach O just in waiting to take back over after Lane gets fired

That's why he will announce Saturday that he is staying. He stays unless Sark leaves or Alabama opens up and offers.

I don't think he's staying. However, nothing surprises me about that guy anymore.

It kinda weird that LK has gone ghost on socials after KC came out.. Now reports of LSU and Gators maybe both ghosted from him too..

Where are you seeing that?
Posted on 11/23/25 at 3:45 pm to TD_02
He will take this whole coaching staff and no telling how many players and plug it in at LSU
Posted on 11/23/25 at 3:47 pm to Landmass
The only way that Kiffin stays if he's stubborn and truly stands to his "does not discuss coaching future/contracts during the season" rationale.

Reports on X is where i am seeing some of it..

Seems more like he was on social media trolling everyone until everyone basically figured out what his plan was
