Yeah that decision was made when we decided to keep him. It's really like Coach O at LSU. Fans aren't extremely please he is the coach but the fact he put good coordinators around himself helps. Aranda leaves and that team is trash.

I think with a Bateman and a top OC and changes at the assistant level with some guys that can actually recruit you might see more positives for Luke.

I mean as much as we all hate he's the coach if we had a top 15 recruiting class right now most would be willing to give him a shot. We simply can't afford to suck this bad at recruiting

Matt loves ole miss so much that he will die with ole miss.

lol, lmfao. If he really loves his alma mater, he will resign and let better coaches to lead the rebals.

Yeah but Coach O isn’t going 1-7 in SEC play with a roster full of first round draft picks at LSU. It’s more like O at Ole Miss.

Coach O actually has a decade of head coaching experience under his belt while simple Jack is over here learning on the job. Matt Luke might be the next Coach O, and we are providing him that 3 year head coaching in the SEC resume booster with no wins to show for it. Just like O got at Ole Miss.

If Longo leaves and we hire a good OC and DC and we get Matt Luke to sit in the press box or somewhere that I wont have to look at him during the game I'd be less pissed

I would love to have a new coach but, the fan base needs to see how bad we are next year.

I wonder what Luke would of done if he inherited Nutt's program.

Were the O years not enough?

Were the last 2 years of Nutt not enough?

Was watching the product that the football program fielded this year not enough?

How many times does a lesson have to be learned?

This is insanity.

If they extend Luke, I will not attend a game next year (to be fair-I quit going after the Alabama game this year). I will not even go to Oxford to tailgate. I will not make any contributions to the university in any form or fashion. I will watch very few, if any, games on television-I have other shite to do on Saturdays. I will give as much of a frick about Ole Miss football as the people who run that program give about me and the rest of the fans.

I think the common fan wouldn't understand what the coach is getting and would expect him to win sooner. I want him fired now?

Is there any chance the new chancellor could intervene?

Hopefully it’s an extension like Andy Kennedy was offered and it doesn’t increase his buyout just extends the years.

He wouldn't have enough clout, I wouldn't think.

Good news the interim chancellor will have hiring and firing power. Now if he’ll use it is the real question.

If he does he will automatically become a hero in my life.

Good luck with that. He isn't firing Luke though. I wish he would just come in and clean house like a bad arse.

If Ole Miss wins the Grove Bowl, will we remove the interim tag?

I don't understand WTH Bjork is doing. He's literally letting his career ride in the hands of Matthew Luke...

Could have cleaned house and become the real leader of this University. Made a great hire and donations would be thru the roof. Opportunity missed.
