So LSU is going to pay us 600k for Princewill and also pay him more than we were giving him? They are pushing shelling out close to 2 million for him alone. Unless he leads the nation in sacks and becomes a first round draft pick, LSU is getting worked on that deal

If they actually do that then it 100% was more about Lane wanting to get 1 of our defensive playmakers to get at Pete.

I really don't care if he stays or not. But I'm glad we pushed back so that the players all see that if you sign a contract, you better think twice about leaving afterwards.

Here’s the thing that LSU fans swore wasn’t true but clearly is true: Lane is all in on next year. LSU fans know Baker is probably gone after next year and after our playoff run Weiss probably is too. That means next year is his best chance to win a natty by year 3, and LSU just fired a coach who couldn’t win a natty by year 3.
So from that perspective he will pay any amount to get a player who even marginally improves the shot at a natty next year. If it works, he buys 5-6 years.

Man Indiana looks good but damn I really do think we’d have put up some points on the board in that first half. I think we could’ve hung in there with em for sure.
