This baseball team is an absolute embarrassment with a losers mentality.

Take a look at MSU. They are dogshit and their season is essentially over too. What do they do? Go on the road and beat LSU and rally past A&M last night.

Bianco's only message to the team after tonight's loss should be no one has a spot on this team next year. Every player should have to earn their spot for next year.

It's now official. You're on the hot seat Bianco. Clean up this mess that you made this year or you will be fired next year.

A repeat of this should certainly do it. When y’all have time go back and refresh your memory of just how average to below we have been most seasons in the SEC say over the last 10 years. You’d think with all the hype and interest there is in the program we’d have been better but you will see that’s not really so. I guess I just forget.

This team is/was so soft. No heart at all. Just everyone’s whipping boy all damn season except for the Big 10-( sidenote good god what a horrid conference ).

This Utah pitcher we are facing looks like a middle linebacker. I should have drove down to watch us today.

You should have. You could have gotten in his ear for giving her those strikes three inches off the outside of the plate.

One last thought on our baseball season and maybe this has already been discussed and I missed it. Any chance we just weren't "hungry" this season after winning it all last season. Yeah there were other things going on, but just not enough for the complete tank job we pulled.

I can definitely see it but that's a leadership issue from both coaches and upperclassmen.

I don't know about the players, but I do think maybe the coaches were complacent since we won last year and there wasn't much pressure. Maybe they didn't spend that extra hour reviewing tape of the opposition to see what pitches to call etc... The guys who were contributors to last year's team who might not be hungry all had pretty good years. Gonzalez, Alderman, Harris all played great. Mccants had a bad year but given what he went through in the offseason, he gets a pass. Chatagnier is the same player he's been all 4 years so can't say he wasn't hungry.

Good points. Can argue that.

It was terrible pitching. Throwing a bullpen guy as your Friday night ace is absolutely fricking insane. I’m guessing our baseball NIL is greater than 95% of college baseball. And we were coming off a natty and didn’t get a single pitcher in the portal KNOWING pitching was already a struggle last season. Just a lazy job by bianco all around.

We lost 80% of our Friday night matchups in SEC play.

3 players make the difference in us being last in the SEC and being on the bubble to hosting the regional. Hunter Elliot, Josh Mallitz, and Florida transfer Nick Pogue.

I’ll be honest, outside of Elliot I know nothing about what happened with the other two. What happens to them?

Mallitz had Tommy John and Pogue went pro.

Would have been nice if Elliot would have gotten his TJ at the very beginning of the season. But I think they knew early on our pitching would be awful and just hoped he would be able to return.

We’re driving home from the beach today. It was wierd going out to dinner or to sit at a bar and never seeing Ole Miss playing in the SECt on any TVs. We always go to the beach this time of year. A few times we’ve driven back through Hoover to catch the Rebs in the Final. Two years ago was especially fun because the Rebs make a semifinal run throughout the week and women winning the golf championship at the same time. Always next year.
