So we are 2-10 right now. We basically have to sweep MS State next weekend if we want a chance at the postseason. With our inconsistent bats, I don't think we have a chance even with MS State's shitty pitching staff.

To have a decent shot at the postseason, we need to go 12-6 in conference play down the stretch.

That seems impossible.

Think those cucks are still mad about last year?
it’s so funny seeing them on twitter talk about how much they “own” us but our series is pretty even and they choked in the biggest game ever between us lmao

They seriously think they own us when we knocked them out in Omaha on the way to a national title last year?

Ok pigs

Series is very close and Dylan Delucia outright ended them fools when it was all on the line last year. No one really has the advantage.

Y’all, I know this is all very frustrating, and I’m right there with you. And a lot of us are back on the “Bianco is shite” train. But with all these freshmen pitchers we are marching out there over and over in key SEC moments, surely it will pay off down the road. If not this year, then next. And if it doesn’t then I guess we indeed sold our soul to get that natty last year.

I honestly don't care about struggling this year. Last year was worth it.

Yeah anyone saying “Bianco is shite” after last year needs to pump the brakes

No. The problem is we are following up a national championship with the worst season ever for Bianco. This is unacceptable especially with the transfer portal. We should not be this bad.

If history is any indicator, your assumption will end up being just that.

I don’t think many posters on this board forgot just how bad and inconsistent we were last season before sneaking into the tournament.

Oh I remember well. I wanted him fired up until we won the title. He can follow that up with the worst year he’s had at Ole Miss and again the next few years honestly. He has earned that.

I don’t think this will continue though

Obviously it sucks to have the talent that we have and still run out there and lose 10 out of 12 conference games but we do have some very young arms that have been thrown into the fire. That isn’t an excuse for the offense not stepping up when needed, but the pitchers taking their licks now will *hopefully* pay off down the line, which unfortunately looks more likely to be next season rather than this one.

Rest Elliott and Maddox

No need to rush either anymore whatsoever

Let’s just call this season a wash

It's definitely been a tough season, but we got swept by the number 3 team in the country, number 4 team in the country, and just lost 2 of 3 from the number 5 team in the country. Losing the series to Texas A&M was terrible but other than that nothing should be too surprising. We lost one of the best pitchers in the country and had to revamp our entire rotation. Elliot and Maddox come back, can anyone name 10 teams they would take in a 3 game series over us? Rivas has been looking better, Quinn is starting to get it. Rotation of Elliot, Rivas, Quinn with Dougherty going back to closing makes a huge difference. Right now the most disappointing thing is how terrible Mccants and Chat have been. I hope they break out but there should be serious conversations internally about benching these guys if their current play continues through this State series. Give some younger players a chance.

Chat and McCants were a combined 0-22 or something like that against Arkansas, right? In key moments as well. Maybe I missed a hit by Chat, but I don't think so.

No argument here. Plenty of people on the roster not contributing , let’s change it, what will we do .. lose more? Not sure that’s possible anyway

Starting 1-8 in conference really takes the piss out of everything

Agreed, assuming Elliot is back and Quinn, Saunier, and the rest of the frosh make a jump our pitching could be elite next year. Our lineup will need major work, would be nice to know what young pieces could be ready and with the way Chat and Mccants are hitting, makes sense to see what you have in guys like Simay, Kramer, Fink.
