Is A&M this bad or are we turning the corner?

the ump in the 6th was bad. two of those ball 4s were questionable both probably strikes and another ball 2 was a strike
umps gave them the leading run

1-8… as our man Rippee would say… “suboptimal start for the good guys “

All things considered I feel like this weekend was an improvement. Not great but at least we showed some promise.

I hate to be negative but we have to win 2/3 every weekend the rest of the way to finish 15/15. Last place in the west is staring us right in the face and there is nothing we can do about it.

How many teams don’t make the SEC Tournament? If it’s two, then today that would be us and State right?. Haha shite. Well, I guess you’d have to factor in Georgia somewhere, too. But there’s a long way to go, so maybe we’ll get our shite together.

A win tonight is a necessity.

Can say the same about the series this weekend. 3-1 is a must this week if we want to think about postseason.

Honestly, I'm not sure anything short of a sweep will cut it. A .500 record in conference play here on out lands us at 12-18 in the league. That won't get us in the tournament unless we probably win in Hoover (Kentucky made the semis last year with 12 conference wins and still didn't make it in).
In the past 10 seasons, there has only been 1 SEC team with 12 conference wins that made the tournament (2021 Bama). There have been many more that didn't (2022 Kentucky, 2022 Bama, 2018 Missouri, 2018 Tennessee, 2015 Bama, 2014 Tennessee)
Bianco has had the Hawgs number. We need some of that good ol' Swayze magic. Nothing else will do cuz we sure as hell don't have the horses in the pen.

Arkansas was the turning point of our season last year. Even though we didn't win the series, it was really close and could have gone either way & we played really well that weekend. After that we really turned it on. Hopefully the same can happen this weekend.

On the broadcast tonight Henderson said Chatagnier only has 1 hit in SEC play?!!? He has to get going if we’re gonna turn this season around. He needs to be hitting around 6th in the lineup and hitting for average with RISP. The whole team feeds off him.
