It's time to get Saunier out of the pitching rotation. He has looked awful against mediocre competition every week.

At least since the 2nd our pitching has settled in today. Just close this out and get the series win with a chance to sweep tomorrow

Our bats might be better than last year. Need to get Hunter Elliot back healthy and figure out a few more arms and I like our chances.

Elliott and Darty would be a formidable 1-2 punch.

I hope to see us limit the free passes today. We have issued 93 free passes (BB and HBP) in 128.0 IP and 15 games thus far. That's 1.37/inning and 6.2/game.

Rivas has put 11 on base in 12.1 IP.

I think we are feasting on poor arms, as we should, but it's still too early to say whether we are a better offensive unit than last season. We'll learn a lot about our bats in the next 14 days.

I don't know much about their schedule, but Vandy is only hitting .246 as a team. They only have one player hitting over .300. They are also striking out 6.93 times per game.

EDIT: I looked up their schedule and it's has been fierce.

We issued 19 free passes (BB and HBP) this weekend. We seem to be pretty hell bent on putting 6 - 7 on per game. Gotta stop that immediately because the teams we are about to play will make us pay if we do that.

Our WHIP as a staff this weekend was 1.29 though, which is pretty good. On the season it's 1.40.

It is what it is. We are relying on a ton of freshman arms and they are gonna be inconsistent. First half of conference play is probably going to be rough but here's to hoping some arms develop over the course of the year like Elliot/DeLucia last year. They're talented, just babies.

This scrub pitcher is making us look silly so far through 2. Maybe we should offer him a scholarship.

eta

And they took him out after only 2? What kind of idiot is this coach for Jax State.

Horrible pitching from us tonight against a bad team. These types of losses can come back to bite you at the end of the year.

I really wish we would stop scheduling road games at directional schools. It's their super bowl and we look like we don't give a damn half the time.

We are the third ranked team in the nation. Their Super Bowl or not, there’s no excuse.

Our pitching gonna have to come together

Why is McCants not playing. We can’t afford to have 3 bad batters at the end of the line up.

Is TJ McCants hurt or something tonight? No excuse to leave in John Kramer if McCants is healthy.
