Our bats were the story last night, but we still put 7 on base for free. That's got to be our per game average or close to it. We have got to cut that down going in to conference play or else we will drop some games we shouldn't.

Didn’t he get run off from Elite Dawgs as well? The board he created.

The Boilermakers have a couple of dudes who can swing it. The first is Evan Albrecht, who is hitting .474 in 38 AB. Paul Toetz is hitting .395/.480/.953 with 7 dingers in 12 games (pretty damn impressive). They also appear to run . . . a lot. They're averaging 3 stolen bases per game and have only been caught thrice all season.
As a staff, their WHIP is 1.41. However, their three pitchers with the lowest ERA (Blackwell, Stephen, and Iwinski, which could be the name of a law firm), have a WHIP of 1.04. I have no clue who their starters will be.

Always good to chase a Friday night starter by the 3rd inning. Bats have set the tone for the weekend.

Of course our pitching is walking guys home though
ETA: 3 wild pitches on 5 total so far.
Pull Jones - he's about to blow a 4 run lead in under 15 pitches

Well this game took an ugly turn. Promising pitching start turned into a dogshit pitching performance.

It’s all good. 15-7 Final is just fine.

Seems like most of our pitching woes are self inflicted.

These young mid-relief guys like Brayden Jones are getting some very valuable innings under their belt that they probably wouldn’t get otherwise on weekends until Sunday games. Yes there are going to be growing pains but our offense is giving them room to figure it out and make mistakes.
