Oh just brought McDaniel in to give up a 2 out 3-run blast, single, walk, walk, grand slam… then pulled him

Just checked the box score and I'm assuming he played a role in us allowing 7 runs in the 4th inning....

We are about to lose today and finish 14-16 in the SEC. Hopefully that means we get left out of the tournament and Keith has no choice but to fire Bianco.

He gave up all 7 of those runs. Idiot Bianco should have taken him out after the 3 run blast. GTFO Bianco

No. Bianca will win 2 games in the sec tournament. Sneak into Gonzaga’s regional as the 3 seed and win it. Then lose to Texas State in the San Marcos Super Regional.

With Bradfield on first for Vandy why didn’t we just intentionally drop the pop up at second and get him out at second?

One of two things will happen.

1) we lose tonight but sneak in as a fricking 4 seed somewhere and that gives Bianco another year.

2) we fire Bianco and hire a pitching coach from Oregon or some dumb shite instead of hiring an actual head coach.

Because WAOM

God, is that still an insult? I remember being 16 and thinking that was a witty response

I’m guessing the Infield fly rule was in effect? Give me the scenario.

Serious question: Do we even make a regional? In conference, we've beaten Auburn, Kentucky, Mizzou (Sweep, didn't make the SECT), and LSU (Sweep). Our OOC schedule was, in my opinion, shite this year outside of Southern, who we split the series with. I would have figured we had to win the series with A&M or win at least one game in that series plus a win in the SECT to get to go.

I know we will lose if we go, but our resume does not seem to really jump out at you. Our RPI is okay-ish, but Bama is 5 spots below us and a hot steaming pile of shite (who also swept us). Just doesn't seem like we should go at all.

As I understand the infield fly rule, there have to be runners on first and second or the bases loaded both with less than two outs. So what you had was Bradfield at first with no outs, he was the only runner and we'd already thrown over like 6 or 7 times. Then a pop up to Gonzalez standing by the bag at second. He could have just dropped it and Bradfield would have been an easy out at second as he had already gone back to first. As it was, DeLucia probably threw over to first another 10 times at least checking Bradfield who later scored in the inning. He didn't steal, but it kept the threat on the bases and took that much more out of our pitcher.

I agree with everything you said, as I don't think our resume is impressive enough to advance us to the regional. Us losing last night doesn't help our case to get in

The IFR applies when there is just a runner on first too.

I'd like to see the players get a chance at enjoying another regional. I'd rather we tell Bianco he can sit at home now and no need to travel on with the team.

Pretty sure there has to be a runner on second too. If there is just a runner on first, then all the batter has to do is run to first base while the ball is in the air to avoid them turning the double play.

I think be invited to go based upon our resume is what I meant. I do agree that I'd like to see the kids able to enjoy some postseason.
