Red Cup calling for Earl Grant. That guy is pretty green, and, I would think, pretty far down the list but it could work out: Earl Grant

I’d much rather hire Earl Grant than Kermit Davis.

Awful article. I like the hire.

Finally, how hilarious that Bruce Pearl would face off against Grant after losing to him in the tournament’s first round?
Seriously. Whoever wrote that garbage should be kicked so hard in the nuts they can't reproduce.

The article and most of its reasoning are terrible, but, like someone above said, it would be better than Kermit. It would make a good backup plan.

I’m not sold on the idea that Crean is a bad coach. I think he got the raw end of the stick at Indiana, and I think the Hoosiers have shown they’re perfectly willing to get in their own way. I think it’d be a better hire than Kermit Davis

Because he's not a bad coach

He took over a program in shambles, made them a winner again and than ran into a string of bad luck.

Crean won national coach of the year and conference coach of the year. He got his team to be the #1 overall seed one season. He went to three Sweet 16s. It may not be up to the somewhat unrealistic expectations of the Hoosier faithful, but he didn't do a bad job for the most part. A lot of the hate has always seemed kinda unwarranted. Plus, we have the worst men's basketball legacy in the conference. He'd be the most accomplished person we could get, assuming Matta goes to Georgia. I think we definitely fricked up by not hiring Matta depending on what the terms of his deal are.
None of that matters though because we fricking hired Kermit Davis. Vitter needs to go.

So we fire the greatest coach in program history because he doesn't make the tournament and then in the most WAOM way possible we are about to hire a guy who didn't make the tournament? Smh

Davis is probably a better on court coach than AK, but there's nothing to get excited about with the hire. I still think it's a giant massive red flag that he has strong ties both to State and LSU, and neither hired him despite conceivably having the opportunity. I have no idea how he'll connect with recruits though, and we're already kinda fricked with Serrel Smith asking for release from his LOI. This is all a messy farce. If we were going to make a coaching change to try to keep up with the rest of the conference, I'm not sure why we wouldn't try to make a splash.
Thank God it's baseball season. Even if we end up sucking, at least the nature of watching the sport encourages me to drink

I think Bjork retired after he had to terminate C. Freeze.
Bjork comes to the office, drinks one joe, eats one Krispy Kreme, and then goes fishing at Wellsgate.
Day after day.

Why does Bjork still have a job? We've had a investigation into track, women's basketball, and football. Of course not all those issues were under his watch but still. The HC in football is fired, a search committee is hired and we end up hiring the OL coach. He made the hire of Ensell and he was God awful and has no been fired. He along with Vitter(Who also needs to go) didn't extend Kennedy which is the reason we lost a coach and subsequently two players that would have helped. Kennedy had the in or you're out over his back the entire season. He gets fired. Outside of the softball coach, exactly what are we paying Bjork for? His tenure has been a complete mess especially recently. He has no power, Vitter is the AD.

I'll buy a case of beer for the first person to place for sale signs in Vitter and Bjork's front yards.

I would give you a better football HC and won't charge you $250K for a search committee.
Or I would do a better job as AD with $250 K salary instead of paying Bjork 700-800K.

I really do not think Bjork is calling any shots. Bitter is who needs to go. Also boosters need to quit trying to hire people they like. Why won’t the media ask why we are making terrible hires?

Well its not as bad as the Luke hire but I'm not crazy about it.
