I guess it's because he's not playing against great competition

This is important, but his tape doesn't lie. Focus more on his release and throws, not who he is playing and it's pretty hard to say he's unimpressive. He has a very quick release and hes obviously well coached. He's making throws before receivers break as a junior in high school. I respect your opinion but I think his tape shows he's got the skills to be a great QB, especially compared to the QBs we have had since Eli.

What's up with Buchanan? The title of the story on 247 is, "Buchanan inches closer to decision", then the beginning of the story reads, "Jackson Prep QB Ryan Buchanan sneaks into Oxford a day early, says he may not visit Alabama this weekend..."

I can't read past that because I'm not a member, but is anyone hearing anything? Have we got a shot at locking him down this weekend?

Buchanan is deciding next week. I think he's in but I've been wrong before.

He's going to make his decision this week, and he's going to be a rebel. This is according to members of the team. I'm not going to believe it until I hear him say it with his own mouth, but I think the staff did an awesome job this weekend and people are really confident.

You guys know anything about yall recruitment of 2 of my Ruston boys... Devin Price(6' 185 S) and John David Moore (6'4 210 TE). I know JD has been hearing alot from you guys and Devin is a beast(I actually hope he earns an offer at LSU, but I just wish him well wherever)

I agree. Someone posted an awesome meme on rivals, don't know if anyone on here made it or not. It was a picture of freeze at his first press conference with the words "inherits dumpster fire... Makes it rain recruits"

I laughed.

Freeze

Props to Freeze for getting him, but wasn't he an Ole Miss legacy (AKA an upset if he went anywhere else). Freeze may have had something to do with it, but he probably goes to Ole Miss regardless of who the coach is (other than Nutt).

Funny that you mention Nutt because in an interview by scout, Buchanan mentioned that he had a much better rapport with our new staff as opposed to the previous.

It's a pay article now on scout. I was able to read it for free when they first published, they've turned it into an "in" article now for some reason.

Nutt could not recruit a QB in our own back yard, to me liggins was as much a sure thing as Buchannon.

Mississippi isn't exactly known for producing pro-style type QBs. They are few and far between.

It won't be Kailo Moore or Deon Mix

Yancy said that it will happen in the next 2 weeks. He said the recruit is from out of state and is a consensus 4* or better by all services. He just basically throws as much BS against the wall to see what sticks. He also said that Buchanon was a born leader and is a surefire NFL QB after he finishes at Ole Miss. Unreal

I think Buchanan is a great QB recruit, but come on YANCY.

Remember he also said Mikhail Miller was the best instate QB since Jason Campbell and better than guys like Omar Connor and Tyler Russell.
