But when I get back to shreveport I always make it a point to get a johnny's pepperoni with a side of cheese sauce

Brooklyn style, preferably. I also like neopolitan style with just basil, sauce and high quality mozz, but most places really frick that up.

I don't consider thin crust or deep dish to be pizza. I like deep dish but it's more like a pie. Thin crust blows.

cracker thin crust, fresh mozzarella, prosciutto, and topped with chopped basil after it comes out of the oven

Haven't had one here in 20 yrs, but I used to love a good Godfather's Deep Dish pizza.

Yeah.. there's one in Florence that I know of. I looked up their website.. only 3 within 160 miles of my zip code.

Depends on where you're travelling from. Hellen Keller's birthplace isn't too far away, the Alabama Music Hall of Fame, Wilson Lake, Joe Wheeler State Park..
