Why did Boomers run the most powerful country on Earth into the ground?

See, I can make sweeping generalizations, too.

I sure wish I could go to college for 6000 dollars and have a ready made job waiting for me when I graduated, be gifted a home and the American Dream, so I could not appreciate it and ruin the most powerful country on Earth for the generations after me and then call them lazy and entitled

Why do so many Baby Boomers not know how to use the dadgum search button?

LOLZ. It's not oldsters like rooster who are uneducated. His generation is well informed, unlike millennials.

I'd bet there are less than five millennials on all of tigerdroppings who could name two current heads of state not named Obama without using a search engine.

It's the feels that really matter, you know.

What's a search button?

Search button doesn't work.

Search button requires too much effort.

Search button is fascist.

Search button is bad for the environment.

Search button interferes with my meditation time.

Old white Baby Boomers fricked up search buttons and ruined them for the rest of us.

It's not about what I can do with a search button ... it's about what a search button can do for me!

.... damn, that felt good. It was easy too. I think I'm beginning to understand the Millennial mindset here.

scrooster can speak for himself certainly. I imagine the short version would be "frick you, stupid kid." Which I wholeheartedly support.

Actually mine was closer to 0 dollars. Army scholarship and all. Don't want to go into the Army? Fine, but stop bitching.

quote:

and have a ready made job waiting for me when I graduated,

I sure did! See above.

be gifted a home and the American Dream, so I could not appreciate it

WTH are you talking about? Is this really how you picture people 20 years older than you? Yeah, we all just lined up at the home-gifting store and received our homes.

Obligatory "Get off my lawn".

I begrudgingly agree. Begrudgingly because it would be more fun to make fun of the entire generation, even though that would be bullshite.

Three kids, all "millenials". Oldest is a nurse, doing quite well and has been for some time. Other two are still in college and make me grind my teeth, but they're on the right track.

Middle kid is at Berkeley and frequently sends me pictures/videos of his fellow students who would fit in very nicely with scrooster's video.
