This man?
Or
This flag?

Or
This flag?

The flag and it ain't close. I've personally seen the Confederate Flag do some crazy racist shite over the years whereas Al is just here to hep po folks.

And I despise what both the man and the flag stand for: horrid, divisive agendas.

I don't know. I'm not black.

Really? I don't really notice skin color or gender; I just refer to you as "that belligerent drunk person."

I may or may not have been last night

Honest opinion, Big AL because he is actively pushing his agenda today. The flag has racist overtones but only portrays racism as a symbol of dumb hicks. It wouldn't hurt my feelings to see him silenced and the flag regulated to historical and memorial use only. My $.02

Segregating them into their own "community" - either by others or by their own doing - is more detrimental than both combined.

Nobody cares what Al Sharpton has to say. At all.
I don't think a flag divides us either. I'm assuming it just lets most of us know where we aren't wanted.

I've seen this statement a couple of times the past couple of days on here and other tigerdroppings boards. What does this mean exactly? Serious question.

He's getting paid big bucks to troll and stir the pot. If I was him I'd keep doing that shite to get paid.

It's what a black man who interacts with white people on a daily basis says.

"Black community" is a lazy generalization that plays upon homogeneity.
That's where I'm coming from

Neither. The most detrimental thing for the colored people is black on black crime. They kill each other in large numbers, don't father their children and raise their youth around a lifetime of drug abuse/drug dealing and are a taught that women are second rate calling them bitch.

The fact that people think there is a black community. It's just as detrimental.

One is a symbol that can only be given meaning and power by the individual looking at it.
The other presents himself as the voice of an entire race of people, but is viewed almost universally outside of his group as a hate monger and a joke, therefore perpetuating a negative and often hostile image of the entire group of people he claims to represent.
