Told this story on here a while back. Years ago off shore fishing in the Gulf I reeled in a large tightly packed garbage bag about 2 foot square. Thought it was a grouper at first. When wee got it in the boat the captain cut it open and it was filled with bundled $20's and hundreds. The captain immediately called the coast guard and reported it. Once they showed up an hour or so later they estimated it was around 10 million in cash. I was so bummed but the captain said you don't dare keep suspected drug running money. After watching No Country for Old Men years later I understood why.

$10 million--Very doubtful. Maybe $4 million if it was all hundreds.

Back in 80's while working in computer room printing preferred stock checks. Holding a fan folded stack a few inches thick many (many) where 7 figures... In cash a mere $40,000 something or other.

I worked at a bank for a while and we once received 750k in cash. Had to expedite a brinks truck to the branch. Didn’t necessarily have it all but in my hand at once but I probably held 120k or so at once.

A little over $32,000. The rest went in the bank. Malpractice settlement.

The most I have ever had in cash in my hands that was mine was ~$140K from hitting a jackpot on a high limit slot at the Beau Rivage years ago. They brought it to me in a paper bag.
I can't believe you posted this! On 2 different occasions I've hit the Beau Rivage for around 120K each time, and they put it, both times, in a damn paper bag! ..WTF.

Multiple gold bars at once. Two things about that.
1. Gold is fricking heavy.
2. People shouldn't inherit safe loads of physical gold and silver. Lol. You should get a load of this dude. 24/7 drunk and does ridiculous things like show off the fact that he has physical gold in his house. One of his friends once brought him a gold bar that he found just laying around out in the dudes front yard.

I used to work for a guy who apparently laundered money for one of our clients who owned five Mexican restaurants. One day I was alone in the office and some random dude came in asking for my boss and since I was the only one there he just handed me a black trashbag and said my bosses name. Turns out it was $80,000 they wanted my boss to deposit in the company account and refund over a few months. When I asked about it he explained he made profit off the interest and asked if I wanted to put 10 or 20 in my account. I passed on the offer and started the job hunt the same day.

AFAIK, $112,00.

In high school, I worked at home town bank. They would sometimes give me bags of cash to carry between branches. Just me and a pile of cash in a pickup truck.
