Overplayed gaudiness, similar to Graceland with cowboy hats with very strict governance and a lot of illegal Mexicans.

One big fricking pasture.

Vaaaaaastly overrated. It's like Oklahoma but with worse football and more Mexicans.

The reason Texas doesn't fall into the Gulf is because Oklahoma sucks

Truth. Our sum is greater than our parts.

I don't mind Texas too much, but I don't care for their big cities.

Long drive from Tyler to El Paso, with or without BBQ brisket, which is first rate.

They aren't shy about executing their criminals there.

Don't care for Lone Star Beer.

Stationed at Ft Sam way back when. Hot and dry in summer. Got robbed there one night and that was a bummer.

Alamo is disappointing.

Great beef, but ruined by far too many loud-mouthed, narrow-minded and opinionated people

It's obvious that some have only seen tiny bits of Texas. It has forests, deserts, plains, mountains, and wetlands. If you fly into Houston or Dallas and stay there; you will not appreciate Texas. Our most amazing beaches are 8 hours from houston, our mountains are 12 hours from Dallas, our forests are 4 hours from Houston.

It's just too huge to grasp.
