Kids are awesome, as long as they aren't mine, and I can go home when I'm ready, crack a cold one, smoke a joint and listen to an album. 
I'm pretty sure my friends who are dads can't get away with that. Oh, and I've never heard a kid say something creepy.

I want to read that whole thread, but it's impossible to read all of an old popular thread on reddit. Some good stuff though.
Not first hand, but I have a nephew who would talk about memories from "when I used to be older" as a 3/4 year old. Specific stuff. He would also throw out old man-sounding conversation starters about the weather and fishing. Stopped as he got around school age.

My middle kid told me he had a dream and in it I died. I was wearing shorts and a green shirt.

My daughter once asked me why my grandmother's hands always shook. My grandmother passed away 20 years before my daughter was born, and I don't recall ever telling her about her hands shaking. Grandmother had nerve damage that caused them to shake.

I believe that children have some sort of connection with the spiritual world.

A very close friend of mine had a dad that was very sick with COPD. On the day my friend's dad died, he was really sad (obviously) and so he and his wife decided that they would tell their 3 year old son that evening, but not right then. Friend left to go be with his mom and start making funeral arraignments, etc.
When my friend got back home, his wife said that she heard their son playing in his room and he was talking like there was someone in his room. She went to his room and asked him who he was talking to, their son said that "Grandaddy was just here. He said that he wanted to tell me that he loved me before he left on his trip."
Little boy did not know anything about the grandad dying and rarely saw him bc grandad was bedridden for as long as the boy had been alive. For him to even ask about him would be unusual. For him to say that he came by and talked to him, it pretty creepy.
