Such a start contrast between Missouri and Iowa.

Yeah that always amazes me how stark the contrast between Missouri and states like Iowa, Nebraska, and kansas is.

Nah

Prohibition was ages ago. You shouldn't prohibit or limit the sale of something legalized just because you and others hold strict religious values

Exactly. There are tons of things that me and many others don't like, or find annoying. But that doesn't mean it should be prohibited. There are a lot of reasonable laws that can be passed, that can curb a behavior.

But particularly that 25 yeast age limit, would make things much worse. People love to talk about this generation being immature, and I believe the drinking age being 21 is a big, unspoken, contributor to that. We've basically been told, that we're not really adults until we're 21. College kids risk being arrested for something that was a right of passage for their parents. We're telling our soldiers that they can risk their lives, and will disrupt their family's lives, but they're not mature enough to buy and drink a beer.

The drinking age has become a law, that people turn a blind eye to and do not respect. If you have laws that people don't respect, they develop disrespect for the law. We're telling our youth, that some laws bullshite, and that's a huge problem.

I say, drop the drinking age down to 18 again, raise the BAC limit to .10, and make DUI penalties a solid felony from strike one. Have cities extend public transportation hours and toes, so that people can get home after the bars close. Put the fear of jail time for DUIs into people, and give them a reasonable, and preferably, cost efficient way to get home, and they will.

I was just showing the stupidity in logic that is used with gun control, in relation to alcohol issues.

It's funny to see a dry county try to vote to go wet. The Baptist have huge get out the vote campaigns on election day.

I live in South LA, ergo I am a drunk, so take this fwiw, but I believe that Alcohol is inherently evil, and whatever local American municipalities can do to insulate their people from the demon liquor, I support. Again, that is coming from a man who can buy hard liquor at Walgreen's at 3 AM with no shame.

I live in a dry part of Houston and think it's great. Wouldn't have it any other way. Keeps those drunk bastards outta my neighborhood.

I live in Gadsden,AL so there are still a few Dry Counties around here.

I find it hard to believe that they continue to Vote Dry.

I love those "County Line" beverage stores.

eta:I don't really drink.Maybe a beer a month.I just think people should have the freedom to do as they wish.
