I'm not a fan of religion in general, but I'm not saying that all Baptists should die and shite like that.

False. I drink, sometimes heavily, and I've never once gotten behind the wheel of a car intoxicated or done anything else that could be considered irresponsible while drunk.
A portion of the population can't handle their alcohol, to generalize and say that drinkers, in general, are irresponsible is absurd.
laws are passed to account for the lowest denominator
aka this is why we can't have nice things

I think dry counties are the way to go. It has reasonable people who care about alcohol related deaths. If not for other county's allowing sale of alcohol, they probably would never have any drunk driving deaths or any other alcohol related deaths. I wished everyone would institute reasonable alcohol laws.

I'm just tired of careless people in wet counties contributing to ever increasing deaths by serving alcohol to those who venture out from a dry county. If they weren't able to purchase booze over county lines, there wouldn't be the problems of alcohol related deaths in dry counties. Not to mention alcohol related violence, such as domestic abuse and the like. If we instituted reasonable alcohol laws, such as raising the age limit to 25, and refusing to sell to anyone who has a drivers licenses, it'd help. I mean.. if you have a license and you're buying booze, it's clear one intends to drive recklessly. Maybe even go a bit further... anyone who purchases alcohol, could go through an alcohol training course. It could entail a 3 week course, teaching BAC levels and how not to beat on someone in the event of becoming inebriated.

I grew up in a very rural dry county, and there was a lone beerstore across the county line that sold beer to anyone inside puberty. Maybe 1 out of every 6 people had cell phones when I was in the 10th grade, and very serious planning went into these beer runs.
I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy the feeling of that 9 mile drive. Heading out of town with a few good friends to buy beer for half of the school.. Very much free. Plus nobody you knew was there unless they were decons or other closet alcoholics that you wouldn't tell, due to their own whereabouts.

Why are you against gun contr.. I mean reasonable alcohol sales?
Clearly, being able to obtain alcohol in wet counties has a major impact on the drunk driving deaths in dry counties. Those responsible citizens that care about real safety, shouldn't have to drive the roads because other counties are too irresponsible and sell to people that shouldn't have alcohol.

Just using the exact, same, logic that is used for something else. Kinda shows the ridiculousness of it.

The biggest problem with Fri counties is, they are usually rural. They means no public transportation. Which lead to more drunken driving.
That, and they can't handle their shite.

Nah
Prohibition was ages ago. You shouldn't prohibit or limit the sale of something legalized just because you and others hold strict religious values

Wow, that map explains so much.
Also explains why the Florida Parishes north of I-12 (outside of the Northshore suburbs of New Orleans) feel so much more like Mississippi than south Louisiana.
Such a start contrast between Missouri and Iowa.
