That house is on a beautiful piece of property, but sadly it's gotten pretty dilapidated in the years it's been sitting there empty.

It just makes zero sense to me why they would have taken them in the truck to Hammond. Either they're a special kind of retarded, or planned out a fairly elaborate scheme.

Never lived there but been through. Really, really nice town.
The bodies were found in a pickup truck they owned. The criminal killed them, put the bodies in their truck, and drove the truck to this truck stop in Hammond.
Was there a getaway driver in Hammond? Did the criminal(s) have a car already parked there? Who knows, but my guess is they chose this particular spot because it's so close to I-55. Could be halfway across the country by now.
