Doesn’t make a difference what anybody wears. Personally I wear jeans or khakis and a collared shir of some sort that’s tucked in depending on how I feel. Wear whatever shoes, mainly vans or some sort of boot.

its just too hot in 90 degree weather to wear jeans and a buttoned up shirt to church

Suck it up, think about how hot it is in hell.

If you were a Gamecock fan and had your entire fanbase's trillion yearly prayers constantly ignored by God you'd feel the same way.

It just really depends on the church though. A lot of them may look at you like you're crazy if a grown man walks in wearing shorts.

God's truth - If I wore shorts to church, little children would run away screaming from the scars.

But I would not object if others did.

Personally I like jeans, brown shoes and a polo shirt, or sweater if it is cold. The guy who warms up our SS class for the teacher wears tassel loafers with no socks lots of Sundays. Doesn't seem to hurt attendance at all.

Do you wear flip flops with white socks too?

I don't care what people wear to church. Wearing nice clothes to church is a cultural thing and is not the gospel.

Seems like they should be living their faith instead of practicing. I mean, nobody goes to school all of their lives. Do they?

Living your faith is going to church and confessing sin so that you can be more faithful when you're not at church.

Okay. Didn't mean to trigger anyone. I've just always thought of church in the same light as school. You go there to learn and then go live in the world based upon what you've learned.

So you think an hour on Sunday is equal to 12-18 years of school?

That's a very level-headed view for a non-church goer to take. Makes sense, actually.

Shorts or suit either way it's a waste of a Sunday morning.

It's out of respect that I don't enter church for this very reason.

Oh...and apparently Preacher Furtick reads tOTB. He tweeted this and he is the pastor of Elevation Church in taterville. New$pring must have branched out.

If Clemson wins, it's b/c of God's favor. If the Gamecocks win, it's b/c God is too busy to care about football.

Well, that and parenting for 18 years. Isn’t there also Bible School, prayer groups, Bible study and a host of other activities wherein a child is educated about his family’s chosen religion?

In Africa, good people wear cloths to go to church most of us wouldn't be seen dead wearing.

Even the bums in Africa wear a suit. Africans take their attire very seriously, especially at church.

I wore gym shorts to church when I was in high school. I don't figure Jesus much cares about how we look on the outside.

I go to church maybe twice a year, and I wear a coat and tie.

I'm not a religious person but I believe in showing respect in a house of worship by not looking like a bum.
