Nothing says hospitality like a Saturday night in Fairfield.

Ended up stopping in Huntsville for the evening. Got some food a bit ago.

Thanks man! Pretty cool place seeing the rockets coming into town. I didn't think this town was this big.

Yeah, we're growing. Suburbs poping up in the county areas, and all. Downtown is the best bar area but don't drive, take an uber. But I imagine you are road weary and will sleep and head for the Gulf in the morning.

Yeah, if I didn't have 3 kiddos, we'd hit it up. Will be heading to Ft Walton in the morning. We went to the mall and walked thru, got chic FIL a. I do have a buddy that works for MCSO, but didn't hit him up. Nice hotel room for ~$166 (vet rate), id say where but somebody would come stalk me.

Be careful Alabama is full of speed traps for visitors. Talking getting entrapped into some serious fines.

Here’s some actual non trolling advise: Alabama style BBQ is my favorite by a long shot, this is a lot to admit for a guy that grew up in and around Memphis. Someone can correct me if I’m wrong but what I’m calling Alabama style is a high vinegar and black pepper concentration in the sauce. My dad’s side of the family grew up in Webster County, MS (kinda in the Golden triangle region) and they ate the same type of BBQ.

Ask one of the nice Alabama residents to tell you a good one of these establishments on the way there. Enjoy your stay and drive safe

I hope you have a nice time in Alabama. It you are not in a hurry, it is worth going and walking around where the big rockets are at the Space Center. And do not stop in Montgomery. You posted a pic of an an LCP with the magazine out; if you want to see some really cool guns go to Larry’s Pistol and Pawn - West where the rusty water tower is beside the Harley store. When you go there go to the far back wall and work your way to the right looking at the guns. Lot of cool/historical guns. And they will sell you some stuff too.

That was before I left my garage lol. I appreciate the tips though def want to check out the rockets either tomorrow or on way back. Guns are always a good time. The LCP was brought because my CCL is pending, but she has hers. I'll let her do the pew pew if need be, she needs the experience

Guntersville

Stay at the Wyndham Garden in downtown Guntersville. Bring your fishing tackle and you can fish off the dock behind the motel.

Check out Georgiana, Alabama. Not far from beautiful Montgomery, the state capital!

Mississippi doesn’t require permits for concealed carry or open carry, Tennessee requires both. Not completely sure on Alabama but I think it’s closer to Mississippi than Tennessee

In Alabama a gun in a vehicle is considered concealed carry. If you don't have a CC permit better unload it and lock ammo in the trunk. Carrying a gun while riding a motorcycle is considered to be concealed carry also.

The space and rocket center was a blast when I was a kid if they've never been. Aside from the rockets and a bunch of other things, they also have an A-12(basically SR-71) you can get close enough to touch.

If you want a straight shot to Florida, take 331. It will take you down to Fl 98, and turn right, you will pass through Destin, and Fort Walton, along with seeing what is there

Take the 80/82 exit, turn left and pass the Toca Bell KFC, look for the Pure gas (if it is still there), and turn right
