Here's what my high school freshman is fighting tonight:
You have 2, 3, & 6. You need to use those numbers to get either 8 or 10. Can't use decimals and can't be negative. Ideas? You can only use the numbers once.

(Square root of 36) + 2 = 8
Don't have the square root symbol available on here.

Any ideas on how to get to 10?
Posted on 8/28/14 at 8:50 pm to Aubie Spr96
NP.
BTW the 6-3 isn't necessary, but I wasn't sure if I also needed to use all of the numbers.

If I can use other numbers:
(3+2)*(6-4)=10
(3+2)*(6-4)=10

Nope.

3^+(3-2)=10

So the problem doesn't say if you can use them 0 times.
2+6=8
throw away the 3 because it's a stupid number

Can't square without using a number.
ETA: Can't use a number twice

3!+6-2=10
3! is equal to 3*2*1=6
3! is equal to 3*2*1=6
