That’s going to look stupid if it’s the only tall building.

I know it's just a computer rendition and probably isn't meant to reflect what the final product would be, but I find it hilarious that the picture shows about the same amount of parking around this gigantic megastructure as there would be for a Motel 6.

It will only be a quarter full so it doesn't really need the extra parking.

In your first picture, it looks like it is leaning. The leaning tower of Oklahoma?

How does one "engineer for tornadoes" exactly?

Lick your finger and stick it in the air to see which way the wind is blowing.

Would be early warning building. Can see them coming faster.

Here’s some pictures of how stupid it would be/look in OKC

So kind of like Europe's tallest building except in a city with a lot smaller population and not as cool of a design

There are firms that specialize in this. They're staffed with civil engineers who also have a background in meteorology

That would be one hell of a vantage point. Imagine the viewd from a building that tall during the '99 or '13 outbreaks.

Another thing I will mention: skyscrapers can weather extreme winds very well. Modern skyscrapers won't topple over even if they take a direct hit from an EF5.

Looks a little out of place for the surrounding landscape.
