You know what's great about Mississippi? I can live here and make 50k starting straight out of school after partying my face off for 5 years, get married to a girl with similar income, buy a 4k sq ft house in foreclosure on 3 acres for dirt cheap, and comparatively look like a boss amongst the unwashed masses of peasants.

All this while getting a pass for any future mishaps because I just don't know any better, bless my heart. I'm never leaving.

the seven states who rely on food stamps the most instead of getting a job like the rest of America vote republican. Rather ironic, shouldn't you guys be voting democrat since the republicans want to constantly make cuts to the food stamp program.

That's b/c the other 75% of the population of said "states" vote republican b/c we see first-hand how we are being robbed while we work our tails off to support people who wont get off their bums (and then are scorned by these people for it), or actually do collect a sizeable income - just through illegal drug sales. Google "drug bust interview in Ferriday, La." and you'll understand a little better.

3 of those are not red states.

The southern states have a significant portion of their population in poverty. West Virginia due to liberal greenies pushing for coal regulations, the south due to mechanization of farms leaving many without sources of work.

The 70-80 percent who don't take from govt vote GOP in those states

Statistically speaking, one would think there would have to be some nice areas of Mississippi. Is this just theoretical? I do not know.

The reason those states vote republican is because they see that fraud happening all day every day. Entitlement program abusers are still the minority in those states, and their actions and behaviors disgust the majority to the point that the majority votes for the Republicans.

Not really. Everyone high school kid with terrible grades from Texas that has the unfortunate pleasure of ending up at college in Mississippi always makes it back. And the great state of Texas doesn't have an excess of beautiful places to live, it's just that almost anything is better than Mississippi.
