This is it, too, for me. I at least like a somewhat cogent story arch. South Park is just as random as Family Guy (although they like to lampoon FG for it).

South Park in a landslide..although early Family Guy was really funny. It went downhill fast, unfortunately.

Family Guy will have a small story but most of it is irrelevant flashbacks and old and obscure references.

South Park and it's not even close. I like FG but it lacks the wit. SP also has a lot more to say about the world at large.
