I never believed this until I tried to do business with a government entity. White male owned businesses are literally the only companies not covered by some "disadvantaged business" program.

It's kind of a disadvantage.

That's the political answer, but it's not the case.

I defy you to give me any normal situation where being white actually helps you.

I come from a Hungarian immigrant family that made its way from the factories of Chicago and built its way up through the past three generations to the situation I have today. Not a single person in my family owned a slave or oppressed anyone(how could they?), they just tried to make it work.

Yet every thing I run in to is about giving disadvantaged people an opportunity. My family didn't benefit from the perceived advantages of being white, why do I have to pay the cost of this country's shite before we arrived?

My best friends are recent immigrants from Ukraine, if they get their citizenship they're subject to the same punitive shite as everyone else deemed "white". It's bullshite.

In the same, but slightly more humorous, vein; I've been involved in plenty of (heterosexual) situations where I've had the opportunity to witness the BBC and can say that whole stereotype is the greatest reparation that can be given short of 40 acres and a mule.

I'm tired of being called a cracker too. People don't understand how much power that word carries.

If we start bitching enough about being called a cracker, then maybe 150 years from now people will be considered racist for calling us that. What a joke on humanity.

We have suffered enough for something are great great great great great grandpa's did. I want my god Damn scholarship.

This is stupid. If you're a member of the majority race, you DO have an advantage in that society, whether it's the U.S. or another country. It's really not up for debate.

Now, there are definitely certain situations where your skin tone may help you or hurt you, but overall, it is more advantageous to be white in America than black.

I see it every day when I go out with my wife. And she does too. At the end of the day, it's not about trying to play the victim any more than the next race, it's making the best of the hand you're dealt. Life ain't fair, whether the circumstances that make it unfair are your sex, height, or melanin count. Deal with it and move on. Tired of crying by both whites and blacks over the issue, tbh.
