I'm curious tbird, what do you and your wife see everyday that's considered racist?
And its not about how many black people vs how many white people get into a certain school. It's about how much someone has to pay money, simply because they have darker skin.
Sure, anyone can go to college if they are willing to go in debt up to their arse to do it. Anyone.

For starters, the constant "surprise" from folks that see us together in public when they realize that we are, in fact, "together." The IRL double takes are something I've gotten used to, but definitely still notice.

People stare at couples more so than individuals. If a fat white dude is with a skinny white chick, people stare.
If a beautiful black women is with a handsome black guy, people stare.
If a good lookin black dude is with a good looking white women, people stare.
It's just natural to size up a couple, no matter the race.

There's prejudices and disadvantages for both races. To say there isn't, is disingenuous. I've seen blacks get shafted before in the workplace. It still happens today. I've also experienced getting shafted in favor of a minority quota hire. Life goes on.

Yup. There's enough opportunity out there, that the individual, no matter which, can succeed now. That's what should be focused on, imo, rather than the negative. There will always be prejudice. How one reacts to it and what they accomplish despite it, is more telling of the individual to me.
