I have been working my arse off for 2 weeks for a very good reason, in essence, it’s sort of a finality thing. I haven’t minded the work but I’m worn smooth out and today I snapped for what was a good reason but turned out to be unnecessary because I guess folks knew they were imposing.

Y’all may be surprised but I’m a very nice and easy going person in real life but when I snap people don’t know how to take it. And honestly, I think I automatically become far more interesting and intriguing to everyone around me.

Should I do it more often?

I know the feeling. I usually feel pretty bad when I do snap at someone but it is cathartic. My job is pretty fast paced with tight deadlines but I usually just tell myself it isn't worth snapping.

I can't really give a recommendation on if you should snap more or not but a couple of things to consider
a) will it get you fired or damage professional relationships?
b) You're only human, it happens. Your coworkers may be under just as much stress.
C) Just how much did that ignorant frick stick deserve it and how delicious was the shocked look on their face when you dropped molten hellfire. How good did it feel when the piss pooled around their ankles.. yes.. yessss. Bring the pain my piggy.

Pio- while i won’t deny that i don’t get a little crazy then- no, it’s not that.

I think I’m safe on A- I had a coworker quietly drag me out of the office for a drive before I snapped in front of the wrong person. They love me and I love them.
B- They are under stress too to kind of a different extent- not necessarily less than me but different than me. C- Felt real good at the time, but I have guilt complexes and ended up apologizing, not because I think I’m wrong but the person I went off on it wasn’t their fault they just happened to relay the wrong info at the wrong time and my snap wasn’t really directed at them but to them- if that makes sense. He’s known me for 15 years and maybe has seen me like that one other time and I’m not sure if even once. IOW, I was going off on ‘them’ as in other people, not him.

I mean no it’s better to find an outlet so you don’t end up snapping.

Snapping implies you don’t have any control which is never a good thing

Yup. Managing the stress and frustration in real time is better than snapping. When I see people blow up or snap, the first thought I have is that they have no self control and don’t know how to manage their emotions properly.

I have snapped a couple of times at work..But it was because people were being extremely inconsiderate. Both times I had to concentrate on some fine details for a job..Bosses and co-workers decided to stand behind me and carry on a conversation. When the conversation was reaching the crescendo I spun around in my chair and said loudly "alright everybody get out"! They all knew what I was involved in and that I was in the right.

It takes a helluva lot of stress to break me down but when I lose it the situation always gets worse. Best for me to retreat, pull myself together and then take on the world again.

That nightmarish time is over, or like 99.9% over and the little remainder can be spread out and not pressure filled.

So, I’m back to my normal happy relaxed self.

And for those few who said when you snap it’s like you’re saying you don’t have an outlet, well I mean I kinda said in the op that I’d been working my arse off for a few weeks so obviously my time for any and all outlets was greatly shrunken. So, in essence, no shite.

I DON’T KNOW! IS IT GOOD FOR ME? YOU TELL ME! WHY DO YOU ASK? I CAN’T BELIEVE YOU’D ASK ME A QUESTION LIKE THAT! THE GALL OF SOME PEOPLE IS UNREAL! I CAN’T FATHOM WHY YOU, OF ALL PEOPLE, WOULD ASK THIS QUESTION!
