The most surprising (and disappointing) thing about this thread is that so many posters in here actually agree with OP

It truly warms my heart to see that, God bless'em!

This goes for both sides, people who insist that life begins at fertilization are no less ignorant of reality. It's a purely arbitrary distinction that actually defies biological realities.

A third "side" looks at life as having begun 3.8 billion years ago. The union of a live sperm and a live egg is merely a continuation of this chain reaction. Life is stopped many millions or billions of times every day, but it is never created again within this chain. Merely sustained.

I agree with OP to an extent, but thats my opinion and I don't expect everyone to agree with me. Also I believe there are exceptions to the rule.

Same here, I just don't like the way things are "progressing" when it comes to the complacency that society is showing regarding abortion. It's no big deal, it's just a fetus.

Just offering some suggestions bro, or I guess we can wait for the long term CONservative solution which is climate change. Our plan to pare the population is still decades away. Reducing the population at any significant rate using climate is a long term process and this keeps my previous suggestions from being necessary, either way we gotta kill some humans to save our species. Now do we focus on birth control like China which has a birth rate of less than 1.6 per woman or is the US rate of 1.9 good enough, looks like most developed economies have a negative birth rate and 3rd world countries are over 2 births per woman. Wow, now what do we do? looks like we'll have to go with climate change, abortion will never get us there.

Well, we won't have to worry about "getting there." We're past the tipping point for controlling over-population. The magic number was 5 billion and we passed that number in the late 1980s.

We really need to work on a plan to save the species. We'll continue breeding freely as long as we can. That's assured. There's no going back and there's no stopping the tide of humans being born. Only natural forces can do that now.

That may sound like fatalism but it's really mere practicality. The human species is set to face its greatest test, the result of wildly successful breeding. This test is far more sinister than the one humanity faced when our total population shrank to only about 10,000 about a quarter-million years ago.

We are responsible for the earth's sixth Great Extinction. We may very well join all of the creatures we've pushed out of existence.

I liked the comic on drugs Mikey... I just feel like some of the captions were left out... Cause even after he was diagnosed with AIDs and accepted Jesus as his savior, several convicts continued to rape the shite out of him night after night... They just wore back door condoms after he got out of the infirmary.. Those are the really thick latex ones specifically designed for anal.. They dont break even while youre wearing out your partner's grocery hole... Anywho, Jesus didnt do a god damn thing about it... Just let that poor fella get fricked in the arse... Over and over again... Til he died.

Yeah, I've thought about this over population thing for a long time and there is not a simple solution. The correlation between developed countries with a low birth rate and 3rd world or underdeveloped countries with a high birth rate are undeniable. If you look at the Middle East countries they have a high birth rate but they also have lost a lot of population to war and disease. China was the country when I was in school that was a concern but they have enacted measures to curb growth and are hovering around .5%, it will be interesting to see if the overall rate of world population growth continues to slow in the coming decades and if so will it correlate with a rising standard of living across the globe or some calamity that takes lives by the millions.

Blah blah blah blah. The birth rate is dropping in both developing and developed countries.

Maybe so, but in what I've seen locally the poor and uneducated, regardless of race, reproduce more than those who are not.

Great insight and analysis, yeah we gotta put this one on Jesus, derelict of duty for only offering salvation and forgiveness of sin.

The population is rising however because women in the Middle East and Africa are spitting out 6-8 kids each and the average life expectancy is rising at a rate of 1 month/year across the globe.

I know the "OMG Islam" crowd usually produces nothing but eye rolls, the fact is that they will be the largest single group of people on the planet (including all ethnicities, creeds, etc.) by 2030 because they have more babies than anyone and by a factor of 3-4 in most cases. At the very least, Europe could be fricked.

Right on Mr. Klarvin, it's all about irresponsibility and then the unborn child must pay the price. I can accept the rape, incest and risk to the mother carrying the child to full term and those cases are legit but most of the abortions are purely birth control. I have personal experience with this abortion crap, my sister had 2-3 when she was a teenager and she has never totally gotten over the guilt, also me and the wife could not have children and adopted so I know there are homes for these kids and adopted kids are really special to the parents.

The thing is these kids should have never been conceived. If a guy cums inside of a chick and it has a 100% chance of conception, is that murder that he chooses not to give a kid life that he's not mature or financially stable enough to handle?

I hate abortion, but it is a necessary evil to a sane society. I guarantee if I transported you to a reality where Roe vs Wade went the other way around and somehow no abortions have taken place since then in the United States, you would immediately want to come back to a reality with abortion.

With an extra 50 million unwanted kids on the street, could you see that being a good thing whatsoever? Who is going around murdering, raping, and stealing? Is it the kid who grew up in a middle class household with a stable loving family? 99 times out of 100 no. People who go out and do those crimes are typically unwanted kids from the start, their parents are divorced/never married at all/one night stand, they're physically/sexually abused, they weren't taught by their parents to strive for an education, they come from poverty, and really were just fricked from the start.

If abortion was made completely illegal tomorrow, within a generation or two the crime rate would skyrocket and be at least twice as high, and that's a pretty conservative estimate and I'd bet would be even higher. I'm just saying that in the mid-80s, the crime rate started to drop, and it's been falling very steadily ever since, and I don't think its a coincidence that just time the unwanted kids who would have been around at the time if it weren't for RvW would start committing crimes.
